Philadelphia Eagles Preview: Odds, Picks & Predictions for the 2025-26 Season

The Philadelphia Eagles are the team to beat in the NFL, and the wins should once again pile up. However, as Jason Logan explains, some regression may be coming for Saquon Barkley in the touchdown department.

Since 2020, reigning Super Bowl champs are a collective 40-43-1 ATS the season following a Big Game victory.

That’s not to say the Philadelphia Eagles can’t repeat the profits of 2024 (11-6 ATS, 3-1 ATS in playoffs). This remains the best roster in the NFL — on both sides of the ball — with multiple ways to win.

However, the Eagles climb a mountain of chalk most weeks. They have a target on their backs, the schedule throws down a gauntlet, and public appeal will only puff up the NFL odds come Sunday.

Wagering on Howie Roseman’s masterpiece will be tricky. I navigate betting in the “City of Brotherly Love” with my Philadelphia Eagles 2025 NFL betting preview.

Philadelphia Eagles best bets

Pick bet365

Saquon Barkley Under 11.5 Rushing TDs +100

Philadelphia Eagles odds for 2025

Market bet365
Win Super Bowl +700
Win conference +300
Win division -150
Make playoffs -400
Over 10.5 wins -170
Under 10.5 wins +140

Best futures bet: Over 10.5 Wins (-170)

The Philadelphia Eagles can win the NFC East and go Over 10.5 wins at the same time, asking 20 cents more than just the division title future (-150). Philadelphia could also win 11 games and come second to the Washington Commanders.

Philly has a tougher schedule than Washington, especially on the back nine. Look-ahead lines have the Eagles as favorites in 16 of 17 games, but the path is loaded with playoff contenders. Squeezing 11 victories out of this team is probable, even if the wheels come off down the stretch.

Philadelphia Eagles at a glance: Trench warfare

The Eagles own the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball, and it makes life easy for everyone behind them.

Philadelphia’s offensive line remains the standard, despite departures and injuries. That paves the way for Saquon Barkley and the run game, which opens up space for Jalen Hurts and his receivers.

The defensive line also underwent a bit of a shakeup, but there was a surplus of talent to fill those spots. Getting constant pressure from the front four was the beating heart of the postseason run, and things can only get better in Year 2 in Vic Fangio’s schemes.

What will win bets: Front seven

Covering spreads is easy when the other team can’t score. Philadelphia finished No. 3 in EPA allowed per play and went 12-4 ATS in its final 16 games overall (including playoffs), holding 13 of those foes to 22 points or less.

The defensive line can drum up pass pressure without the blitz, leaving a loaded linebacker corps to execute Fangio’s disguised defense. That takes pressure off the secondary, but relies on some younger guys to step up.

What will lose bets: Schedule squeezes

Winning the Lombardi Trophy carries the curse of a lofty schedule the following year. On top of drawing the No. 4 schedule in SOS, the powers that be placed the Eagles between a rock and a hard place in the second half of the calendar.

Following a bye in Week 9, Philadelphia plays four games in 18 days from Week 10 to Week 13. Then it stuffs four games into 20 days, including back-to-back road games and three away dates in those four weeks.

This eight-game grind will test the Eagles’ depth and focus, concluding with a possible Super Bowl preview at Buffalo in Week 17 — the only time Philadelphia is an underdog this season (+1.5).

Philadelphia Eagles schedule + spot bet: No rest for the weary

If you’ve ever sported the opposing team’s jersey to an Eagles home game, you know the path to your seat is daunting. Philly walks an equally challenging slog in 2025, just with fewer beer cans whizzing past its head.

On top of the grind of the NFC East, the Eagles tangle with contenders Kansas City, L.A. Rams, Tampa Bay, Denver, Minnesota, Green Bay, Detroit, Chicago, L.A. Chargers, and Buffalo.

The back half of the schedule jams eight games into 38 days — an average of 4.75 days between contests — along with travel for five of those outings. Just getting practices in will be a task.

The final three contests feature two matchups with Washington, which will likely decide the division and the playoff pecking order.

Spot bet: Week 13 vs. Chicago (-7, 46.5)

“Black Friday” may keep Eagles bettors in the red, considering this will be the team’s fourth game in 18 days.

Philadelphia returns from a bye to play at Green Bay on Monday night in Week 10, leaving the Eagles on short rest to host Detroit for Sunday Night Football in Week 11. The team goes down to Dallas for Week 12 before hosting Chicago in a standalone spot the day after Thanksgiving.

The look-ahead line for November 28 is a touchdown. Philly has failed to live up to big lines under coach Nick Sirianni in the regular season. More on that below.

Backing Off Barkley

Market bet365
Win MVP +6000
Win Offensive Player of the Year +550
Lead NFL in Rushing Yards +275
Over 11.5 Rushing TDs -130
Under 11.5 Rushing TDs +100

Saquon Barkley best bet: Under 11.5 Rushing TDs +100

Barkley broke the goal line for 13 rushing touchdowns in his incredible inaugural season in Philly, getting a big push down the stretch. He had six rushing scores in the first nine games before racking up seven in his last seven outings.

Speaking of pushes, Jalen Hurts is always going to vulture goal-line carries with the “Brotherly Shove” — at least until the league bans it — and new RB addition A.J. “Quadzilla” Dillion is a red-zone specialist.

Season-long projections sit shy of 12 rushing touchdowns from Barkley, with most models hovering around 10. We could see Philadelphia protect Saquon down the stretch and save some gas for the playoffs.

Philadelphia Eagles trend: Big Fave Blues

Championship rings bring championship expectations. According to look-ahead lines, the Eagles are laying points in all but one game and dish out a touchdown or more in five of those contests.

As noted above, Sirianni doesn’t have the best return on investment when the oddsmakers ask the world of his team.

Philadelphia finished 5-0 SU but just 2-3 ATS when pegged as a favorite of seven or more in 2024 and is just 5-10-2 ATS since 2021 when laying that many points (35%).

Philadelphia Eagles' big spreads

  • Week 1 vs. Dallas (TNF) -7
  • Week 6 at N.Y. Giants (TNF) -7
  • Week 8 vs. N.Y. Giants -8
  • Week 13 vs. Chicago (Friday) -7
  • Week 15 vs. Las Vegas -10.5
