Expert NFL combo picks

Bengals vs. Falcons

  • Kickoff: 9:30 p.m. ET
  • TV: NFL Network
  • Analyst: Jason Logan

Combo: 7.37x

  • Falcons +3.5
  • Chase Brown touchdown
  • Tee Higgins 75+ receiving yards

The Bengals should be favorites, but their current three-game win streak is very puffed up, and Atlanta poses a stiffer test on a neutral field. I’ll take Atlanta on the other side of a field goal.

Chase Brown hasn’t found paydirt since Week 1. The Falcons have given up 11 total touchdowns to running backs and Brown is a dual-threat option, either running it past the goal line or catching a TD strike.

Tee Higgins could be the best WR2 in the league. He’s the top-rated WR versus man coverage and faces plenty of one-on-one coverage from Atlanta. Projections call for another big day, with most models north of 80 yards receiving from Higgins in Jason Logan's Bengals vs. Falcons prediction.

Broncos vs. Panthers

Combo: 4.30x

  • Broncos -2.5
  • Under 44.5
  • Broncos first half -1.5

The Denver Broncos are road favorites and have posted wins and covers in both previous road spots this season. Shawn Krest points to Carolina's defensive coordinator change and depleted front seven as primary reasons to back Denver across the full game and first-half spreads in his Broncos vs. Panthers predictions.

Browns vs. Saints

Combo: 5.00x

  • Saints moneyline
  • Kendre Miller 40+ rushing yards
  • Kendre Miller anytime TD

Coming off their bye week, New Orleans hosts a Cleveland squad playing its third consecutive road game with backup Shedeur Sanders under center. Neil Parker features the Saints moneyline and Kendre Miller's rushing workload in his Browns vs. Saints predictions.

Cowboys vs. Colts

Combo: 7.13x

  • Over 51.5
  • Tyler Warren anytime touchdown
  • Tyler Warren 40+ receiving yards

The Colts catch a break playing a rare home game against a bad Dallas defense, and tight end Tyler Warren has stepped up as a big part of this passing attack with Alec Pierce out.

Warren's targets have spiked, and he’s produced against far stiffer defenses than Dallas. Projections are very positive, with most models well above 50 yards and his TD forecast as high as 43% in Week 9 in Jason Logan's Cowboys vs. Colts prediction.

Lions vs. Dolphins

Combo: 6.50x

  • Lions -6.5
  • Under 50.5
  • Jared Goff 22+ completions

Pair Detroit's defensive improvements with Miami using the most play clock time at home in neutral situations, and we have a clear recipe for the Under in Neil Parker's Lions vs. Dolphins prediction. This is already the highest total of the year for the Dolphins by a considerable margin, and they’ve played to the Under in seven of their past 10 home games (+3.70 Units / 34% ROI).

Turning to Lions quarterback Jared Goff, he’s completed 22 or more passes in five of seven games, and the Dolphins have allowed 23 or more completions in three of their past four games.

Rams vs. Commanders

Combo: 3.50x

  • Rams moneyline
  • Kyren Williams Over 13.5 rushing attempts
  • Kyren Williams anytime TD

The Rams can ride the one-two punch of Kyren Williams and Blake Corum to a road win on Sunday, and the visitors are 8-2 SU in their last 10 road games against non-NFC West opponents.

Expect to see plenty of the L.A. run game here in Tom Oldfield's Rams vs. Commanders prediction, with Williams nailing the Over on this rushing attempts number in five of his past six contests — and Washington’s recent injuries leave the hosts vulnerable against the Rams’ elite run-blocking offensive line.

Williams has piled up seven touchdowns through his first eight games, and Stafford isn’t a threat to steal goal-line opportunities. This is a favorable matchup for Williams, who has feasted on 21 red-zone rushing attempts, the sixth-most among all running backs in the NFL.

Jets vs. Chiefs

  • Kickoff: 1 p.m. ET
  • TV: CBS
  • Analyst: Ed Scimia

Combo: 5.90x

  • Over 47.5
  • Chiefs -9.5
  • Kenneth Walker III 90+ rushing yards

While I think both teams will contribute to a high total in this game, the Chiefs have the clear advantage. New York's offense will be hampered by the likely absence of Garrett Wilson (concussion protocol), and the attempts to reintegrate Breece Hall could slow the attack as well. I like the Chiefs to cover at home.

I'm also taking Walker to pick up at least 90 yards on the ground. While the Jets haven't been as bad at stopping the run, they're merely average there, allowing 4.0 yards per carry. Walker is rushing for 110 yards per game this season and should get plenty of carries if and when Kansas City jumps out to an early lead in Ed Scimia's Jets vs. Chiefs predictions.

Giants vs. Eagles

Combo: 6.25x

  • Giants -3.5
  • Malik Nabers 70+ receiving yards
  • Malik Nabers anytime touchdown

Malik Nabers has topped 100 receiving yards in four consecutive games for a league-high 509 total and the third-most targets (49) during the heater.

The Eagles have also allowed the fourth-highest explosive pass rate and eighth-highest EPA per dropback the past six weeks, so Nabers is in line for another huge game Sunday in Neil Parker's Giants vs. Eagles prediction.

Texans vs. Chargers

Combo: 5.00x

  • Texans -5.5
  • Under 40.5
  • Tre' Harris Over 2.5 receptions

Expect a low-scoring Week 9 affair in Quinn Allen's Texans vs. Chargers prediction. Herbert will likely struggle to move the ball, given Houston's success pressuring the quarterback, and LA hasn't scored a touchdown in back-to-back games.

Houston has been more productive offensively, but the Texans haven't been particularly consistent either. I expect them to score 20-25 points while limiting the Chargers to 10-14, keeping this contest comfortably Under 40.5.

Tre' Harris has been one of LA's more reliable targets this season. He has 18 receptions on 29 targets, and the youngster has cashed the Over in three of his last four outings. Houston's secondary isn't great, ranking 28th in passing yards allowed.

Packers vs. Patriots

Combo: 11.67x

  • Packers +3.5
  • Tucker Kraft anytime TD
  • Rhamondre Stevenson Over 24.5 receiving yards

Geoff Clark likes Green Bay's net early-down EPA edge and pass-rush differential against Drake Maye. In his Packers vs. Patriots predictions, he takes Green Bay with the points and targets tight end Tucker Kraft to exploit New England's linebackers in coverage.

Raiders vs. 49ers

Combo: 5.10x

  • Raiders +9.5
  • Kirk Cousins 250+ passing yards
  • Tre Tucker 40+ receiving yards

In addition to the noted case for Kirk Cousins in Neil Parker's Raiders vs. 49ers prediction, he’s also thrown for 280.6 yards per game after a quiet Week 1, and I’m particularly impressed that his 8.8 aDOT is his highest mark since the 2016 season.

Turning to Raiders wide receiver Tre Tucker, he’s topped 40 receiving yards in six of eight games with an impressive 16.3 yards per reception and 13.4 aDOT this season. Cousins also has a high-end 115.0 NFL passer rating when targeting the big-play threat.

Cardinals vs. Seahawks

  • Kickoff: 4:25 p.m. ET
  • TV: FOX
  • Analyst: Sam Farley

Combo: 6.00x

  • Cardinals +9.5
  • Over 38.5
  • Jaxon Smith-Njigba anytime TD

With Gardner Minshew taking over for Arizona, Sam Farley expects enough offensive rhythm to cover the wide 9.5-point line and push the total Over 38.5 in his Cardinals vs. Seahawks predictions.

Buccaneers vs. Bears

Combo: 14.94x

  • Bucs +6.5
  • Baker Mayfield anytime touchdown
  • Caleb Williams Under 250.5 Passing Yards

Tampa Bay isn’t getting any respect as the market moves toward Chicago. But the Bears are on a short week and facing a Bucs team playing great two-way football, especially on defense.

Baker Mayfield doesn’t shrink from the moment. We’ve seen him make plays in big games, and with the Chicago blitz on his heels, Mayfield runs one into the end zone on SNF.

Caleb Williams won’t get his normal run on Sunday night with the Bucs’ rushing attack putting this game in mud. When he does throw, Williams faces a Tampa Bay pass defense that has already shut down some top air attacks. Projections sit as low as 202 yards from the Chicago QB as Jason Logan dives more into his Buccaneers vs. Bears prediction.

Bills vs. Vikings

  • Kickoff: 8:15 p.m. ET (Mon)
  • TV: ESPN
  • Analyst: Josh Inglis

Combo: 8.00x

  • T.J. Hockenson Over 4.5 Receptions Made
  • Dalton Kincaid Over 3.5 Receptions Made
  • Carson Wentz Over 0.5 Interceptions Thrown

Both tight ends are projecting Over their reception totals, with T.J. Hockenson at 4.94 and Dalton Kincaid at 4.14. Hockenson saw four targets in Wentz's only start in the rain in Chicago, but was also targeted five times in the season opener.

He should see more opportunities with Wentz under center than he did with Murray.

Kincaid has things back on track with 11 catches over his last two games, and the injuries to Buffalo's other pass catchers only help his outlook. He should be back in that 6-8 target range.

Carson Wentz is plus-money to throw an interception, which is great value on its own, especially if Minnesota is chasing points as a 3-point home underdog. The extra day of rest should also benefit Buffalo's defense more than Minnesota's offense.

Wentz threw five interceptions in five starts last season.
