The Kansas City Chiefs (-9.5) will look to break a two-game losing streak as they host the New York Jets at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday, but my Jets vs. Chiefs prediction is all about the Over.
New York's defense is struggling even as the team finds more offensive weapons, and that has me backing the points total. Read on to see all my free NFL picks for Sunday, Nov. 8.
TOP PICK
Jets vs Chiefs prediction: Over 47.5
The New York Jets came into the season expecting to ride their defense to victories, but injuries and a general inability to stop the passing game have exposed that plan.
New York has allowed 30.7 ppg over the last three weeks as several key members of the secondary are out of action, and the Jets rank just 19th overall in defensive EPA per play (-0.02).
Patrick Mahomes, Kenneth Walker III, and the rest of the Kansas City Chiefs offense — averaging 23.9 ppg and 6.4 yards per play — will take full advantage of that weakness, but the Jets can score, too. Geno Smith has been very efficient at quarterback, and Braelon Allen has emerged as a weapon in the backfield, with New York scoring 25+ points in back-to-back games.
The offenses will dominate on Sunday, and I'm backing the Over at up to 58%.

Jets vs Chiefs combo
While I think both teams will contribute to a high total in this game, the Chiefs have the clear advantage. New York's offense will be hampered by the likely absence of Garrett Wilson (concussion protocol), and the attempts to reintegrate Breece Hall could slow the attack as well. I like the Chiefs to cover at home.
I'm also taking Walker to pick up at least 90 yards on the ground. While the Jets haven't been as bad at stopping the run, they're merely average there, allowing 4.0 yards per carry. Walker is rushing for 110 yards per game this season and should get plenty of carries if and when Kansas City jumps out to an early lead.
Jets vs Chiefs combo
- Over 47.5
- Chiefs -9.5
- Kenneth Walker III 90+ rushing yards
Jets vs Chiefs touchdown scorer: Rashee Rice
While Walker is the easy pick to score for the Chiefs, I see a lot more value in trading on Rashee Rice. The wide receiver has only really played in four games — he was injured in the first quarter of another — but has 20 catches on 24 targets and two scores in that limited time.
That alone would give him value, but throw in the fact that he'll be working against a depleted New York secondary, and this is a strong play. I like Rice to score at up to 50%.
