How to find your Polymarket referral code

To find my referral details, I would open Invite Friends in the Polymarket US app. That screen contains my username and a personal link that I can copy or share through the available messaging options.

I prefer sending the invitation link alongside the exact username. The link gives my friend a clear starting point, while the username provides a backup if the referral doesn't populate automatically.

There are two different usernames to keep straight during this process: the existing user’s username identifies the referral, while the new user chooses a separate username for their own account. I recommend sending the invitation before your friend starts registering, not after they have already opened an account.

The Polymarket referral program works differently from a traditional sportsbook loyalty program. With Polymarket, I can earn a fixed $25 trading credit for each qualifying friend, up to 14 referrals and $350 total. If a Polymarket referral code or invite link is not working, I would run through these checks before contacting support:

1. Check the exact username: Your Polymarket username is your referral code, so your friend should enter it exactly as shown. Watch for extra spaces, missing characters, or autocorrect changes.
2. Make sure the referral was applied during registration: Your friend should use your personalized invite link or enter your username while creating the account. You generally can't add a referral after signup is complete.
3. Confirm your friend is a new Polymarket user: The referral offer is intended for new Polymarket US customers. Existing accounts do not qualify as new referrals.
4. Complete identity verification: Your friend must successfully finish Polymarket's onboarding and identity-verification requirements before the referral can qualify.
5. Check the $10 minimum deposit: Your friend must deposit at least $10. Creating and verifying the account without completing the qualifying deposit is not enough to trigger the $25 referral credit.
6. Don't look for a qualifying trade: There is no separate trade requirement before the $25 referral credit is issued. If the account is verified and the $10 deposit is complete, a missing trade should not be the reason the referral failed.
