Cowboys at Titans odds
Opening line
Titans +9, 44 O/U
Why the line moved
12:44 P.M. ET, THURSDAY DEC. 29: The Titans announced early Thursday afternoon that QB3 Josh Dobbs will be getting the start on Thursday Night Football against the Cowboys. The point spread immediately jumped from Cowboys -12.5 to -13.5 in the wake of the quarterback news. The total is holding at 40.
Previous Cowboys at Titans action
10:46 A.M. ET, THURSDAY DEC. 29: It's game day, and with the Titans choosing to rest most of their key starters for tonight's game against Dallas, sportsbooks continue to take Cowboys money and lengthen the pointspread. After jumping to Cowboys -12 on Wednesday, books added another half point to -12.5 on Thursday morning. BetMGM is reporting 70% of the bets and 81% of the money wagered on America's Team. The total is at a mix of 39.5 and 40 as of Thursday morning.
4:23 P.M. ET, WEDNESDAY DEC. 28: The Titans announced a bunch of inactives for their meaningless Thursday night encounter with the Dallas Cowboys. Starters like QB Ryan Tannehill, DL Jeffery Simmons, LB Bud Dupree, LB Zach Cunningham, LB Dylan Cole, S Amani Hooker, and DB Josh Thompson are all listed as Out. RB Derrick Henry, CB Kristian Fulton, and LB Denico Autry are all listed as Doubtful. Sportsbooks have lengthened the pointspread from Cowboys -10.5 to -12 and the total is down from 40.5/41 to 39.5/40.
10:47 A.M. ET, TUESDAY DEC. 27: As of Tuesday morning, the pointspread for Thursday Night Football is holding at Cowboys -10 at most sportsbooks, although a couple of key shops have lengthened their spread to -10.5. Titans' star running back Derrick Henry (hip) has popped up on the Week 17 injury report, and with this game meaning nothing to Tennessee's playoff chances they may be best advised to hold him out to ensure his health for their critical Week 18 matchup with the Jaguars. The total is down from 43.5 to 40.5/41.
10:30 P.M. ET, SUNDAY DEC. 25: Tennessee opened as a 9-point home underdog for this non-conference clash on Thursday Night Football. Dallas is coming off a win over a Hurts-less Eagles team but did impress on offense. With Titans QB Ryan Tannehill out of action and rookie QB Malik Willis facing this ball-hawk Cowboys defense, the early money at some respected online books has moved Dallas to a double-digit road favorite at -10. The total opened at 44 points and has dipped to 43.5.
Cardinals at Falcons odds
Opening line
Falcons -4, 40 O/U
Why the line moved
10:15 A.M. ET, SUNDAY, JANUARY 1: With QB Colt McCoy and WR Deandre Hopkins out for Week 17, Arizona has slipped from 3-point underdogs to as high as +6.5 on Sunday morning. The Falcons opened as 3-point favorites at home and climbed to as high as -4 before early money on Arizona has slimmed the spread back to a field goal at the end of the week. But those injuries have tacked an extra three points on the line in Week 17. This total has also moved from 42.5 down to 40.5.
Previous Cardinals at Falcons action
12:41 P.M. ET, SATURDAY DEC. 31: After lengthening from Falcons -3.5 to -4.5 on Friday, in the wake of the news that Davis Blough will get the start at quarterback for the Cardinals on Sunday, the spread moved further to -5.5 later in the day. The total is at 41.5.
2:25 P.M. ET, FRIDAY DEC. 30: A couple of Cardinals injury notes from head coach Kliff Kingsbury on Friday; QB Colt McCoy is dealing with some concussion symptoms and David Blough will get the start, and WR DeAndre Hopkins is dealing with a knee issue and is Questionable. Sportsbooks have adjusted the pointspread from Falcons -3.5 to -4.5 and the total is down slightly from 42 to 41.5.
10:55 A.M. ET, THURSDAY DEC. 29: As of Thursday morning, the pointspread for this Sunday afternoon game is hanging on at Falcons -3.5. There are a couple of sportsbooks flirting with the key number of -3, but any shops offering that number are heavily juiced to the favorites. The total is up from the opener of 40 to 42.
11:37 A.M. ET, MONDAY DEC. 26: The Cardinals dropped a tough overtime decision to Tom Brady and the Buccaneers on Sunday Night Football, while the Falcons lost a chilly 17-9 contest in Baltimore against the Ravens. Sportsbooks opened the Falcons as 4-point home favorites for this Week 17 game, but early action on the Cardinals has this number down to -3.5 at some key shops. The total opened at 40 and has been pretty stable in the first 12 hours of betting.
Steelers at Ravens odds
Opening line
Ravens -4, 36 O/U
Why the line moved
10:15 A.M. ET, SUNDAY, JANUARY 1: With Lamar Jackson out and sharp players snatching up the points with Pittsburgh earlier in the week, the spread for the Sunday Night Football matchup in Week 17 is down to Baltimore -1.5 at some respected online shops. The market consensus as of Sunday morning is Ravens -2. According to BetMGM books, 58% of bets and 56% of money is backing the road underdog. This total opened as high as 36.5 points and is down to 35 at most books. Should it close there, this would be just the 16th Over/Under of 35 points or less since 2010, with those games producing an 8-7 O/U record.
Previous Steelers at Ravens action
2:21 P.M. ET, FRIDAY DEC. 30: Ravens' head coach John Harbaugh said it's "safe to assume Tyler Huntley will start Sunday" against the Steelers. Sportsbooks aready assumed this to be the case, but they did adjust slightly from Ravens -2.5 to -2. The total is at 35.
11:04 A.M. ET, THURSDAY DEC. 29: Ravens' quarterback Lamar Jackson (knee) has yet to practice this week and his status for Sunday Night Football is looking less-and-less likely with every passing day. After opening at Ravens -4, the pointspread is down to -2.5 as of Thursday morning. The total is down from 35.5/36 to 35.
11:12 A.M. ET, TUESDAY DEC. 27: As of Tuesday morning, the pointspread for Sunday Night Football has shortened from the opener of Ravens -4 to -3. QB Lamar Jackson's status for Week 17 is still in question, but he did say late last week that he was excited to get back on the field this week for practice. We'll all just have to wait and see how his back reacts to the football activities. The total is at 35.5/36.
10:30 P.M. ET, SUNDAY DEC. 25: Baltimore opened as big as -4 at home to the rival Steelers on Sunday Night Football. Early money at sharper online books has trimmed that spread to -3.5. Baltimore has yet to confirm the status of QB Lamar Jackson but said playoff standing would not force him to return from a back injury quicker than required. This total opened at 36 points and is sitting as low as 35.5 points, as we have two rivals that know each other very well with quality stop units playing great at this point in the season. Note: This game has been flexed into the Sunday Night Football slot.
Bears at Lions odds
Opening line
Lions -5.5, 51.5 O/U
Why the line moved
10:30 A.M. ET, SUNDAY, JANUARY 1: The spread for this NFC North rivalry is sitting at Lions -5.5 after climbing as high as -6.5 earlier in the week. According to WynnBET books, Detroit has drawn 54% of bets and 52.5% of the handle. The total for this divisional dance is as high as 53 points with 85% of money backing the Over and moving this number from an opener of 51.5.
Previous Bears at Lions action
11:09 A.M. ET, THURSDAY DEC. 29: As of Thursday morning, the consensus pointspread for this Sunday afternoon game is Lions -6. In a game involving two terrible defenses, it's not at all surprising that the total has climbed from 51.5 to 52/52.5.
11:50 A.M. ET, MONDAY DEC. 26: After initial action moved the pointspread in the direction of the Bears (as low as Detroit -4.5 at some shops), the buyback on the Lions came fast and furious overnight and books lengthened the number back to the opener of -5.5, with a couple of shops ticking up to -6 on Monday morning. The total is stable at 51.5.
10:30 P.M. ET, SUNDAY DEC. 25: The Lions opened as 5.5-point home chalk to Chicago and in the wake of Detroit’s ugly loss to Carolina, this line has sunk to -5 with early play on the Bears. In fact, some sharper online operators are down to Detroit -4.5 on Sunday evening. This total opened at 51.5 points given the Lions have been extremely effective on offense inside Ford Field.
Jaguars at Texans odds
Opening line
Texans +5.5, 44 O/U
Why the line moved
10:30 A.M. ET, SUNDAY, JANUARY 1: While this game carries little weight in the AFC South picture, Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson told the media he’s planning to play his starters in Week 17. This spread has gone for a bit of a ride, opening at Jacksonville -3 and climbing to as high as -4.5 before reports of QB Trevor Lawrence (probable) being limited in practice trimmed this spread to as low as -3 at some books on Sunday morning. The total has also adjusted from 44 to as low as 42.5 points.
Previous Jaguars at Texans action
12:46 P.M. ET, SATURDAY DEC. 31: Jaguars' quarterback Trevor Lawrence logged "limited" practices both Thursday and Friday and is officially listed as Questionable for Sunday afternoon's game in Houston against the Texans. The pointspread shortened from Jags -4.5 to -4 on Friday, and continued in that direction Saturday morning down to the key number of -3. The total is down a tick from 43.5 to 43.
9:55 A.M. ET, FRIDAY DEC. 30: As of Friday morning, the pointspread for this Sunday afternoon game is down from Jaguars -4.5 to -4 at most sportsbooks. Jags' quarterback Trevor Lawrence (toe) got in a limited practice session Thursday and should be healthy enough to play Sunday - the question is will Doug Peterson want to risk starting him in a meaningless Week 17 game, with a winner-take-all game coming up in Week 18 against the Titans. The total is at 43.5.
11:38 A.M. ET, WEDNESDAY DEC. 28: As of Wednesday morning, the pointspread for this game is at Jaguars -4.5. Covers Consensus numbers are showing 67% of the spread wagers on the road favorite Jags. The total is holding steady at 43.5.
10:30 P.M. ET, SUNDAY DEC. 25: Jacksonville opened as a 5.5-point road favorite, but early play came in on the home underdog and has moved this spread as far as Jaguars -4. This early opinion contrasts the sharp play on Jacksonville the past month and speaks volumes to the uptick in competition from the Texans, who have covered in three straight games and are coming off a win over Tennessee in Week 17. This total opened at 44 points and is sitting as low as 43.5 on Sunday night.
Broncos at Chiefs odds
Opening line
Chiefs -12, 43.5 O/U
Why the line moved
10:30 A.M. ET, SUNDAY, JANUARY 1: After the Broncos fired head coach Nathaniel Hackett early in the week, the Chiefs jumped from -12.5 to -13.5 favorites at home in Week 17. However, WynnBET books are reporting one-sided money on the Broncos, who have drawn 78% of the handle despite 58% of bets being placed on Kansas City. Other books, like BetMGM, are heavy on KC ticket count and handle (68%/69%). This total is sitting at 45 points at many books on Sunday morning.
Previous Broncos at Chiefs action
11:17 A.M. ET, THURSDAY DEC. 29: The Broncos are an absolute disaster this season, but bettors have decided that 13.5 is too many points. After opening at Chiefs -12 and quickly jumping to -13.5, the pointspread for this Sunday afternoon game has shortened to -12.5. The total is at 44.5/45.
11:21 A.M. ET, TUESDAY DEC. 27: As of Tuesday morning, the pointspread for this game is universally at Chiefs -13.5 with a total of 44.5/45. Early Covers Consensus numbers are showing 63% of the spread wagers on the big home favorite Chiefs.
10:45 P.M. ET, SUNDAY DEC. 25: Kansas City hit the board as 12-point home favorites for this AFC West matchup, given Denver’s disastrous campaign marches on. The Broncos were blasted for 51 points by the Rams and now take on a legit offense in Kansas City. This spread has already jumped to -13.5 at some sharper online books. The total opened at 43.5 points — a number oddsmakers fully expect the Chiefs to lug considering Denver’s offense has failed to score 20 or more points in 11 of its 15 games this season. Given the move up in the spread, the total has climbed to 44 points.
Dolphins at Patriots odds
Opening line
Patriots +2, 43.5 O/U
Why the line moved
10:55 A.M. ET, SUNDAY, JANUARY 1: With Miami QB Tua Tagovailoa out due to a concussion, the Dolphins are currently as big as 3-point underdogs in New England at some respected online shops. The Patriots are also missing a number of skill players on offense, which has dropped this total to 40.5 points after opening at 44 points last weekend. According to WynnBET books, 61% of bets are on the Pats but 66% of the money is on Miami with a capable backup in Teddy Bridgewater.
Previous Dolphins at Patriots action
10:15 A.M. ET, FRIDAY DEC. 30: After moving from Patriots -2.5 to -3 on Wednesday in the wake of the Tua concussion news, there has been a bit of buyback on the Dolphins. Some books have shortened the pointspread to -2.5, and those still remaining at -3 are juiced to the underdog. The total is at 41/41.5.
11:44 A.M. ET, WEDNESDAY DEC. 28: Dolphins' head coach Mike McDaniel announced Wednesday morning that Teddy Bridgewater will get the start at quarterback Sunday in place of QB1 Tua Tagovailoa (concussion). This news was expected and books already positioned themselves at Patriots -2.5, but there was a slightly adjustment to the key number of Pats -3 in the wake of the official announcement. The total is at 41.5/42 as of Wednesday.
11:28 A.M. ET, TUESDAY DEC. 27: After opening at Dolphins -2 and quickly shortening to -1 on Sunday evening, the pointspread jumped the fence to Patriots -2.5 late Monday. Dolphins' quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is back in concussion protocol after missing two weeks earlier in the season, and it's very unlikely that he plays in Week 17. Teddy Bridgewater will get the start if Tua is unable to go. The total is down from 43.5 to 42.
10:45 P.M. ET, SUNDAY DEC. 25: Miami opened as a 2-point favorite despite a four-game losing slide and playing in chilly Foxboro on New Year’s Day. This spread has slimmed as much as Fins -1 on Sunday night. This Over/Under total hit the board at 43.5.
Colts at Giants odds
Opening line
Giants -3.5, 40.5 O/U
Why the line moved
10:55 A.M. ET, SUNDAY, JANUARY 1: New York is sitting at -5.5 for this unsexy Sunday showdown, but hey: that’s why we have sports betting. The Giants were as big as 6-point home chalk and the vig on the -5.5 is trend upward at some shops, so a move back to the key number could happen if we see more money on the G-Men this morning. According to DraftKings books, 79% of money is riding on New York with 78% of bets on New York. This total is sitting between 38 and 39 points.
Previous Colts at Giants action
12:52 P.M. ET, SATURDAY DEC. 31: As of Saturday morning, the pointspread for Sunday afternoon's game between the Colts and Giants in New Jersey sees the G-Men as 5.5-point favorites. DraftKings is reporting 77% of the bets and 78% of the money wagered on the Giants. The total is at 38.5/39.
11:57 A.M. ET, WEDNESDAY DEC. 28: After opening at Giants -3.5 and quickly lengthening to -4.5/-5, the pointspread for this Sunday afternoon game continued to grow, up to New York -5.5/-6 as of Wednesday morning. Covers Consensus numbers are showing a whopping 83% of the pointspread wagers on the side of the Giants. The total is down from 39.5 to 38.5.
11:50 A.M. ET, TUESDAY DEC. 27: The Colts looked as bad as a football team can look Monday night in a 20-3 home loss to the Los Angeles Chargers, and the Giants suffered a tough 27-24 loss in Minneapolis against the Vikings on Sunday afternoon. Sportsbooks opened the betting numbers for this Week 17 contest at Giants -3.5 with a total of 40.5. Colts' head coach Jeff Saturday announced after Monday night's pathetic effort that he plans to stick with QB Nick Foles and oddsmakers quickly adjusted to Giants -4.5/-5 with a total of 39.5.
Saints at Eagles odds
Opening line
Eagles -6.5, 43.5 O/U
Why the line moved
10:55 A.M. ET, SUNDAY, JANUARY 1: Eagles QB Jalen Hurts will miss his second straight game, leaving backup Gardiner Minshew under center. This spread opened at Philadelphia -6.5, ticked up to -7 then bounced between -5.5 and -6.5 all week. It dropped to -5 at some places with the news that Hurts is out. The total also tumbled down to 41.5 points. According to WynnBET books, 65% of ticket count is on the Eagles but 75% of money is siding with New Orleans.
Previous Saints at Eagles action
12:58 P.M. ET, SATURDAY DEC. 31: After moving the pointspread from Eagles -5.5 to -6.5 on Friday morning, sportsbooks adjusted back down to -5.5 when news from Eagles practice listed quarterback Jalen Hurts as Doubtful for Sunday's game. It looks like another start for Gardner Minshew. The total is down from 42/42.5 to 41.5.
10:27 A.M. ET, FRIDAY DEC. 30: Eagles' quarterback Jalen Hurts (shoulder) reportedly got in a good practice Thursday, but head coach Nick Sirianni is refusing to comment any further. It's unsure whether or not Hurts split first-team reps with Gardner Minshew. Sportsbooks seem to think it'll be Hurts on Sunday and lengthened the pointspread from Eagles -5.5 to -6.5. The total is at 42/42.5.
11:25 A.M. ET, THURSDAY DEC. 29: Eagles' quarterback Jalen Hurts (shoulder) has still yet to practice leading up to Week 17's Sunday afternoon game at home against the Saints. Sportsbooks have made some adjustments as the world waits for updates on Hurts' status - the pointspread has shortened from Eagles -7 to -5.5 and the total is down from 44 to 42/42.5. Stay tuned!
12:07 P.M. ET, TUESDAY DEC. 27: The status of Jalen Hurts for Week 17 is still in question as of Tuesday morning, but the pointspread is on the move from Eagles -6.5 to -7. The total is also up slightly from 43.5 to 44.
10:45 P.M. ET, SUNDAY DEC. 25: The status of Eagles QB Jalen Hurts has this spread just below the key number of a touchdown. Philadelphia says that if Hurts is healthy enough, he will play in Week 17 as the team is still trying to lock down the No. 1 seed in the conference. The total opened at 44 points and is down to 43.5.
Panthers at Buccaneers odds
Opening line
Buccaneers -3, 40 O/U
Why the line moved
11:00 A.M. ET, SUNDAY, JANUARY 1: After Carolina opened +5.5 and was bet down to as low as +3, buyback on the Buccaneers marched this spread up to as high as Tampa Bay -4 before Sunday play on the Panthers, pushing it back to -3.5. According to BetMGM books, 62% of ticket count and 67% of handle has picked the Panthers while WynnBET books are reporting more wagers and money on Tampa Bay at home.
Previous Panthers at Buccaneers action
1:02 P.M. ET, SATURDAY DEC. 31: As of Saturday afternoon, the pointspread for this Sunday afternoon game is up from Buccaneers -3 to -4. The total is holding at 40/40.5.
11:36 A.M. ET, THURSDAY DEC. 29: As of Thursday morning the pointspread for this Sunday afternoon game is still at the opening number of Buccaneers -3. Covers Consensus data is showing 57% of the spread wagers on the road underdog Panthers. The total is up a tick from the opener, from 40 to 40.5.
12:02 P.M. ET, MONDAY DEC. 26: Tampa Bay got a not-so-pretty, 19-16, overtime victory over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday Night Football in Week 16, while the Panthers outgunned the visiting Detroit Lions 37-23 on Sunday afternoon. Sportsbooks opened the betting for this Week 17 NFC South contest at Buccaneers -3 with a total of 40.
Browns at Commanders odds
Opening line
Commanders -1, 39.5 O/U
Why the line moved
11:00 A.M. ET, SUNDAY, JANUARY 1: Carson Wentz is back under center for the Commanders in Week 17, and after this line bounced between Washington -2 and 2.5 all week the market is moving away from the home team with Washington as low as -1 at some offshore books. Some other shops are still hanging the Commanders as high as -2.5 but a move to -2 or lower could be on the way as the vig trims. According to DraftKings books, 58% of bets are on Washington while the handle slightly leans to the home side at 51%. The total is at 40.5 points.
Previous Browns at Commanders action
12:12 P.M. ET, WEDNESDAY DEC. 28: The Commanders announced Wednesday morning that Carson Wentz will get the start at quarterback in Week 17 against the Browns. The industry is mixed as of early Wednesday afternoon, between Washington -2 and -2.5. The total is up from 39.5 to 40.5.
10:45 P.M. ET, SUNDAY DEC. 25: Washington has a QB controversy on its hands, with Carson Wentz and Taylor Heinicke dueling for the top job in Week 17. The value to the spread may not be that much of a difference in terms of performance but Heinicke holds a soft spot with this group. The Commanders opened as low as -1 and are up to -2.5 hosting Cleveland. The total is set at 39.5 points.
49ers at Raiders odds
Opening line
Raiders +6, 43.5 O/U
Why the line moved
11:00 A.M. ET, SUNDAY, JANUARY 1: With the Raiders benching QB1 Derek Carr, the Niners have soared from opening favorites of -6.5 to as high as -10 at some respected online books Sunday morning. However, you can still find San Francisco below the key number at many shops. According to BetMGM books, 82% of bets and 86% of money are fading Las Vegas at home in Week 17. This total is at 41 points after opening as high as 43.5.
Previous 49ers at Raiders action
1:08 P.M. ET, SATURDAY DEC. 31: After ticking up from 49ers -9.5 to -10 on Thursday, there has been a bit of buyback on the Raiders which has forced the pointspread back to -9.5. DraftKings is reporting 81% of the bets but only 69% of the money on the favored Niners, indicating larger wagers on the home underdogs. The total is at 42.5/43 as of Saturday afternoon.
11:43 A.M. ET, THURSDAY DEC. 29: After jumping from 49ers -5.5/-6 to -9.5 on Wednesday afternoon in the wake of the Raiders' quarterback news, some books have lengthened further to the key number of -10 as of Thursday morning. The total is down from 42.5 to 41.5/42.
2:13 P.M. ET, WEDNESDAY DEC. 28: The Raiders announced Wednesday afternoon that they're benching Derek Carr in favor of Jarrett Stidham. Chase Garbers will be the backup on Sunday with Carr likely inactive. Books adjusted the pointspread immediately from 49ers -5.5/-6 to -9.5. The total is down from 44.5 to 42.5.
12:08 P.M. ET, MONDAY DEC. 26: After opening at 49ers -6 on Sunday evening there was some early action on the underdog Raiders, forcing sportsbooks to slim the spread slightly to -5.5. The total is up from 44 to 44.5 at several books as of Monday morning.
11:00 P.M. ET, SUNDAY DEC. 25: San Francisco opened as a 6-point road favorite in Sin City, trying to keep in the chase for the top seed in the NFC in Week 17. Las Vegas is coming off a bad loss in Pittsburgh with Derek Carr struggling under center. Now, the Raiders return home to play one of the best two-way teams in the NFL. The total opened at 43.5 and is climbing to 44 points with early money on the Over.
Jets at Seahawks odds
Opening line
Seahawks -1.5, 44 O/U
Why the line moved
11:15 A.M. ET, SUNDAY, JANUARY 1: Seattle is expected to have RB Kenneth Walker and WR Tyler Locket for this home stand against the Mike White-led Jets in Week 17. That has the Seahawks sitting between +1.5 and +2.5 home underdogs. WynnBET is reporting 56% of bets and 57% of money on the road chalk Jets while DraftKings is reporting 54% of money on New York and 51% of bets on Seattle.
Previous Jets at Seahawks action
10:33 A.M. ET, FRIDAY DEC. 30: As of Friday morning, the industry is fully split between Jets -1.5 and -2 for this Sunday afternoon game in Seattle. The public will have their say, and drive this number, over the next couple of days. Covers Consensus numbers are showing 64% of the pointspread wagers on the underdog Seahawks as we head into the weekend. The total is at 42/42.5.
12:16 P.M. ET, WEDNESDAY DEC. 28: After lengthening to Jets -2.5 in the wake of the Mike White news on Tuesday, there was a bit of buyback on the Seahawks, prompting books to shorten the pointspread to Jets -1.5. The total is at 42.5 as of Wednesday.
12:13 P.M. ET, TUESDAY DEC. 27: Sportsbooks continued to take Jets action in the wake of the news that Mike White would get the Week 17 start in Seattle against the Seahawks. After moving to Jets -2 on Monday afternoon, books lengthened the pointspread to -2.5 on Tuesday morning. The total is down from 43.5 to 42/42.5.
1:04 P.M. ET, MONDAY DEC. 26: The Jets made the "Mike White will start" news public early Monday afternoon. Books had already adjusted over the fence to Jets -1 on Monday morning, but still moved further to -2 in the wake of the official news. The total is at 43.5.
12:13 P.M. ET, MONDAY DEC. 26: Jets quarterback Mike White was scheduled to get a scan on his injured ribs Monday morning. It appears the results of that scan have made it into the hands of sportsbooks, because the pointspread for this Sunday afternoon game is on the move. After opening at Seahawks -1.5 the pointspread is down to a pick'em at some books while other have fully jumped the fence to Jets -1.
11:00 P.M. ET, SUNDAY DEC. 25: Seattle opened as big as -1.5 hosting the Jets in this cross-country non-conference clash. As of Sunday night, Seattle sits between -1 and -1.5. New York is waiting on word for QB Mike White, who sat out the past two games with broken ribs. However, the Jets have enjoyed a mini-bye since losing on Thursday in Week 16. This total opened at 44 points and is down to 43 at some books.
Vikings at Packers odds
Opening line
Packers -3.5, 44.5 O/U
Why the line moved
11:15 A.M. ET, SUNDAY, JANUARY 1: As of Sunday morning, you can find the Packers -3 or the Vikings +3.5 – so shop around for the spread that suits your opinion. BetMGM books are a little heavier on Minnesota, with 55% of money on the visitor while DraftKings is reporting 52% of handle on the home side. According to WynnBET books, 68% of money is on the Vikes, which means those Minny +3.5 spreads could dry up before kickoff.
Previous Vikings at Packers action
1:13 P.M. ET, SATURDAY DEC. 31: As of Saturday afternoon, the pointspread for this NFC North rivalry game is down from packers -3.5 to the key number of -3. BetMGM is reporting 62% of the bets and 63% of the money wagered on the underdog Vikings. The total is at 47.5/48.
12:55 P.M. ET, WEDNESDAY DEC. 28: The industry consensus as of Wednesday has the Packers as 3.5-point home favorites for this NFC Central showdown at Lambeau Field. There are a couple of books flirting with the key number of -3 but they are juiced at -115 and -120 on the favorite side. Covers Consensus numbers are showing 60% of the pointspread wagers on the side of the Packers. The total for Sunday's game is up from 45.5 to 48.5.
11:00 P.M. ET, SUNDAY DEC. 25: After a strong win over Miami at home, the Packers welcome the rival Vikings to Lambeau Field in Week 17. This line could once again stir up some debate as the 12-3 Vikings are underdogs to the 7-8 Cheeseheads — kicking a hornet's nest among football bettors that started with Minnesota’s loss to Detroit as 2.5-point road pups in Week 14. This opened Packers -3.5 (EVEN) and early juice on the favorite indicates early action buying into Green Bay. The total for this game opened at 44.5 and is up to 45.5 with action on the Over.
Rams at Chargers odds
Opening line
Chargers -6.5, 40.5 O/U
Why the line moved
11:15 A.M. ET, SUNDAY, JANUARY 1: The Battle of Los Angeles currently has the Chargers laying between -6 and -6.5 across the market. The Rams are coming off an impressive performance against Denver and new QB Baker Mayfield may be winning over some bettors, with the Rams drawing 64% of the handle according to BetMGM books. WynnBET is also heavy on Rams handle as of Sunday morning. The Chargers have earned a postseason spot but could improve to fifth in the conference and play the winner of the AFC South in the opening round of the playoffs, rather than potentially facing the defending AFC champion Bengals in the Wild Card Round.
