Expert NFL combo picks for Week 8

Colts vs. Jaguars: 4.64x

Nick Galaida expects Jacksonville's quarterback and defensive advantages to translate into control at home. He writes that “Bhayshul Tuten should get plenty of work on the ground” if the game develops as expected, making sustained rushing volume a natural companion to the Jaguars moneyline.

That approach also supports the Under by allowing Jacksonville to manage the game through its backfield. Indianapolis has weakened its defensive front, giving Tuten a favorable opportunity to build yardage while the Jaguars try to limit the Colts' scoring chances.

Titans vs. Bengals: 6.22x

Jason Logan expects Cincinnati to lead the way offensively against a weakened Tennessee defense. He writes, “The Bengals do the lion’s share of the scoring,” while noting that the Titans' pace and Cincinnati's defensive issues could help the visitors contribute to the Over.

Chase Brown's touchdown opportunity benefits from Tennessee's problems up front, while Tee Higgins can attack a secondary vulnerable to deep gains. Productive Cincinnati drives would build Higgins' yardage, put Brown in scoring position, and keep the combined total moving toward the Over.

Browns vs. Steelers: 11.92x

Geoff Clark expects another competitive AFC North matchup and uses Cleveland's younger playmakers to complement the Browns' spread. He likes KC Concepcion's touchdown potential because “Cleveland keeps manufacturing touches for him all over the formation,” giving the rookie multiple ways to find the end zone.

Dylan Sampson's rushing requirement is modest enough to fit his complementary backfield role. Cleveland staying close should preserve opportunities for both running backs, while Concepcion's involvement creates a route to a score even without a high-scoring game.

Vikings vs. Lions: 5.90x

Neil Parker expects Minnesota's defense to keep the Vikings competitive while Kyler Murray finds success against Detroit's pass coverage. He writes, “Detroit has been particularly vulnerable to tight ends,” making T.J. Hockenson an appealing receiving option against his former team.

Murray's completions and Hockenson's yardage can build together as Minnesota sustains possession. The Vikings' defensive strength gives the spread leg its foundation, while Detroit's coverage problems offer a route for the two passing-game props to cash without Minnesota needing to win outright.

Falcons vs. Buccaneers: 6.17x

Clark takes Atlanta with the points and expects a game shaped by deliberate offenses. He writes, “The projected pace, playing styles, and weather all support the Under cashing.” Both teams' preference for the ground game gives the total a reason to stay low.

The Baker Mayfield passing Under follows the same logic: fewer throws and fewer possessions would limit his yardage opportunities. Clark also flags forecast wind and rain as potential obstacles for the passing game, while Atlanta's defensive matchup supports a close contest.

Cardinals vs. Cowboys: 8.47x

JLo expects Dallas to separate behind its passing attack, with CeeDee Lamb well suited to exploit Arizona's coverage. A Lamb touchdown would help the Cowboys build the margin this spread requires while putting pressure on the Cardinals to respond through the air.

That comeback attempt supports Michael Wilson's receiving prop. Logan writes, “With Arizona playing from behind, plenty of passes come his way,” linking Wilson's opportunities directly to a Dallas lead. The combo can work with both receivers producing while the Cowboys retain control.

Raiders vs. Jets: 4.25x

Parker calls the Raiders and Jets “two of the worst defenses in the league” and expects their offenses to capitalize. That makes the Over the foundation of a combo that also needs Kirk Cousins and Omar Cooper Jr. to produce through the air.

Cousins faces a Jets defense that has struggled against the pass, while Cooper's recent involvement creates an opportunity against Las Vegas' secondary. A game in which both offenses keep moving the ball gives the passing and receiving legs room to accumulate alongside the total.

Ravens vs. Bills: 9.79x

Logan likes Buffalo's rest advantage and home setting, with Josh Allen's running ability tying the combo together. He notes that “he always uses his legs in the biggest games,” supporting both Allen's rushing-yardage prop and his chance to score a touchdown.

Allen's work near the goal line can help Buffalo turn drives into points, while its pass rush creates a difficult matchup for Baltimore's injury-hit offensive line. The preferred script has the Bills winning with their quarterback contributing meaningful yards and a score on the ground.

Chargers vs. Rams: 4.00x

Shawn Krest believes the Chargers' bye gives Justin Herbert and his offense a chance to improve their protection and challenge the Rams. He writes, “Look for Herbert to hit enough big gains to keep it close,” pointing to the Rams' vulnerability after the catch.

Those gains can push the Chargers past their team total and help them stay within the spread. With the Chargers' defense also struggling to keep opponents off the scoreboard, scoring contributions from both offenses support the full-game Over.

Patriots vs. Dolphins: 5.90x

Parker expects New England's passing attack to drive a convincing road performance. He writes, “This is a soft matchup for Maye and go-to tight end Hunter Henry,” highlighting Miami's difficulties preventing completions and containing opposing tight ends.

Drake Maye's completion prop and Henry's receiving total can advance together whenever New England sustains drives through the short and intermediate passing game. The Patriots' added preparation time and recent offensive form strengthen Parker's case for pairing those props with the road favorite to cover.

Chiefs vs. Broncos: 7.00x

Parker backs Denver's defense and improving offense, then adds two Jonah Coleman props to the Broncos moneyline. He writes, “Payton is looking to give rookie running back Jonah Coleman more touches this week,” making the rookie's expanding role central to the combo.

Coleman's physical running style also appeals near the goal line. A Denver lead would give the Broncos reason to keep working on the ground, creating opportunities for Coleman to clear his rushing total and finish a drive with a touchdown.

Eagles vs. Commanders: 9.33x

JLo sees room for both offenses to score against vulnerable defenses, even with several prominent players dealing with injuries. Dallas Goedert is central to Philadelphia's plan: “With the Eagles' receiving corps running thin, Goedert’s role spikes on SNF.” Washington's problems defending tight ends add to his touchdown appeal.

Antonio Williams supplies the Washington receiving angle through his work from the slot. His opportunities and Goedert's scoring chances fit an Over built on both quarterbacks finding usable targets, with Philadelphia's limited pass rush giving Jayden Daniels time to operate.

Check out our full Eagles vs. Commanders predictions.

Bears vs. Seahawks: 8.00x

Josh Inglis expects Seattle's defense to limit Chicago's scoring, with Jaxon Smith-Njigba supplying a touchdown at the other end. Of the Seahawks receiver, he writes, “I love his TD price this week.” Smith-Njigba's central role in the passing game gives that leg its foundation.

D'Andre Swift's receptions fit a game in which Chicago struggles to run and needs short outlets while trailing. Inglis sees additional opportunities if Kyle Monangai is unavailable, with Swift's receiving outlook improving further if Colston Loveland also sits.
