The NFL Week 8 finale is a big one: the Chicago Bears visit the defending-champion Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night Football.
Both teams are coming off statement non-conference wins, and my early Bears vs. Seahawks predictions pick through what could very well be a postseason preview in the NFC.
Here are my early leans and NFL picks for Nov. 2.

Early Bears vs Seahawks spread pick: Bears +3.5
Much like the Seattle Seahawks benefited from a mini bye after a Thursday night game, the Chicago Bears get a few bonus days to rest and prep for this massive Monday matchup.
Chicago, which beat New England on TNF in Week 7, could have running back Kyle Monangai in action, which gives Ben Johnson one of his best offensive weapons. This Bears attack is rolling with QB Caleb Williams another week healthier from his hamstring pull.
Johnson had success against Mike Macdonald's defense in 2024 with Detroit, averaging 7.8 yards per play and going a perfect 5-for-5 in the red zone in a win over the Seahawks. Granted, Seattle was missing multiple defensive starters for that showdown.
Key bodies on Chicago’s defense are also trending toward playing in Week 8. The Bears are a dangerous stop unit, creating chaos with a blitz-heavy pass rush. Chicago, which sits fourth in pressure rate, has generated 19 sacks and 10 takeaways.
Seattle QB Sam Darnold has suffered through the highest rate of pressure per dropback to start 2026 and just lost his LT Charles Cross to an ankle injury. Darnold’s PFF ratings tank when under duress, including four of his eight interceptions coming vs. pressure.
I’ll lean toward the Bears on the happy side of a field goal, not trusting Darnold to keep a clean sheet in INTs.

Early Bears vs Seahawks total pick: Under 46.5
The Seahawks are expecting RB1 Zach Charbonnet back in action on Monday, which should help boost Seattle’s average yards per run from its sub-4.0 standing. He forms a three-headed monster, making progress after a strong rushing effort last Sunday night.
The Bears defense sits 26th in Run Defense DVOA at FTN and 26th in run stop win rate at ESPN, budging for 4.4 yards per attempt from opposing ball carriers.
I expect more run from Seattle, as it tries to take the heat off Darnold and put him in manageable down-and-distance situations.
Chicago’s offense will also have to spread the love around against this vaunted Seattle stop unit. The Seahawks get excellent pass pressure with just a four-man rush and don’t allow anything over the top, giving up the fewest explosive passes in the NFL.
The last thing Mike Macdonald wants is for this game to turn into a shootout with a shaky Darnold forced into making plays. I’m leaning Under 46.5 points on Monday Night Football.
