I was already wary of the Tennessee Titans’ motivations heading into their Week 8 road date with the Cincinnati Bengals.
Then Tennessee traded All-Pro DT Jeffery Simmons to Chicago Thursday afternoon. That move tacked on an extra point to this surging spread, with Cincinnati now laying -11.5 on Sunday afternoon.
My Titans vs. Bengals predictions size up that mountain of chalk as well as the crater Simmons leaves in this Tennessee stop unit.
Here are my best NFL picks for Nov. 1.
TOP Pick
Titans vs Bengals prediction: Over 46.5
One of my first plays of Week 8 was taking the Over in this game. And with Jeffery Simmons swapping out his trademark red sleeves for Chicago orange, I like the Over even more considering the Cincinnati Bengals will do the heavy lifting.
Simmons was the shining star and identity of the Tennessee Titans defense. His absence up front will drop the Titans even further down the defensive pecking order, which says something when they’re already dead last in DVOA at FTN.
The Bengals picked apart a very good Baltimore stop unit in the second half of Sunday’s win. They finished with 7.0 yards per play and were a perfect 5 for 5 in the red zone, with Joe Burrow and his talented receiving corps finding their stride.
Tennessee’s secondary allows the second-highest completion rate and has been burned by multiple big plays, bleeding the fourth most passes of 20+ yards entering Week 8. While the Titans haven’t given up many passing touchdowns, they haven’t played many QBs on Burrow’s level.

Titans vs Bengals combo
The Bengals do the lion’s share of the scoring but don’t discount the Titans. Tennessee is playing with pace and faces a Cincy defense that still has work to do.
Chase Brown finds the end zone to the cheers of fantasy owners everywhere. He faces a watered-down Titans defense that’s allowed six scores to running backs.
Tee Higgins’ projections call for as many as 91 yards against a Tennessee secondary giving up explosive plays.
Titans vs Bengals combo
- Over 46.5
- Chase Brown touchdown
- Tee Higgins 70+ receiving yards
Titans vs Bengals touchdown scorer: Chase Brown
If anyone was happy to see Simmons traded before Week 8, it was Bengals running back Chase Brown.
He no longer has to worry about one of the premier run stoppers in the game, facing a Tennessee red-zone defense now missing its biggest cog. Even when Simmons was in the mix, Tennessee had allowed six scores to rival RBs.
Brown has only one touchdown in 2026 despite 13 carries and three receptions in the red zone. Due to that drought, we’re getting a discount on his ATTD market in Week 8 considering this prop was trading around 60% two games ago.
Given the massive spread, Cincinnati will be in a run-positive game script in the second half of Sunday, helping boost Brown’s TD probabilities.
His TD forecasts range between 60% and 78%, given he’s a threat to run one in or catch a touchdown pass.
Titans vs Bengals player prop: Tee Higgins 70+ receiving yards
Cincinnati has arguably the best one-two punch at receiver in the NFL, with Tee Higgins serving as “Robin” to Ja’Marr Chase’s “Batman”. But don’t tell Higgins that.
He looked more like Superman in Week 7, putting in a monster effort in the win over the rival Ravens. He caught six of seven balls his way for 148 yards and a touchdown. That includes a 44-yard dinger on a broken play with Burrow dodging pressure.
We mentioned the Titans’ problems giving up home runs over the top, and Higgins is one of the best deep threats in the land, averaging 21.6 air yards per reception and amassing eight catches for 20+ yards.
Tennessee has also been burned by WR2s to start the season, rating 24th in DVOA vs. WR2s at FTN while giving up almost 56 yards per game to those second options.
Higgins’ Week 8 models are very bullish on his receiving yards, ranging from 65 to a high of 91. Most forecasts come in above 80 yards, and my projection sits just shy of 81 yards receiving.
