Tampa Bay hosts Atlanta on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET at Raymond James Stadium as a 2.5-point favorite, with a total of 43.5.
My Falcons vs. Buccaneers prediction focuses on Tampa's struggling passing attack, Atlanta's underlying matchup advantages, and weather that could influence several of my favorite betting angles.

TOP PICK
Falcons vs Buccaneers prediction: Falcons +2.5
I'm fading the market and playing the Atlanta Falcons +2.5, playable down to their opening line of +1.5. Typically, you want to fade the previous week's results, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers just waxed the Carolina Panthers 43-13 last week.
Baker Mayfield returned Sunday from a three-game absence due to a dislocated thumb and wasn't asked to do much in Tampa's victory. He completed just seven of 11 passes for 64 yards. Mayfield has the third-worst QBR this season, so I don't trust him to win by a significant margin.
Meanwhile, Atlanta has better yards-per-play, early-down EPA per play, quarterback pressure rate, and explosive-play rate differentials, despite the teams having played similarly difficult schedules and both starting quarterbacks having missed time due to injuries.

Falcons vs Buccaneers combo
Unlike Atlanta's spread, I'm following the line movement here by taking the Under 43.5, with the total dropping from its 45.5-point opener to the current number. The projected pace, playing styles, and weather all support the Under cashing.
For instance, the Falcons rank 25th in seconds per play on offense, while Tampa Bay ranks 30th. Per Nfeloapp.com, Atlanta has the third-lowest pass rate over expectation, while the Bucs have the fifth-lowest rate.
The forecast calls for windy, rainy conditions in Tampa on Sunday, which could hinder both passing and kicking games and make these teams more likely to lean on their rushing attacks.
I'll discuss my third combo leg (Baker Mayfield Under 224.5 passing yards) below.
Falcons vs Buccaneers combo
- Atlanta +2.5
- Under 43.5
- Baker Mayfield Under 224.5 passing yards
Falcons vs Buccaneers touchdown scorer: Kyle Pitts Sr.
I love Atlanta TE Kyle Pitts Sr.'s anytime touchdown price, and I'd trade it up to 27%.
Pitts leads Atlanta with four touchdown catches this season, and he torched Tampa Bay in their final meeting last year, hauling in 11 catches for 166 yards and three scores.
The matchup is still favorable. The Bucs have allowed the fifth-most touchdowns to opposing tight ends with five, while the middle of their defense has struggled in coverage.
Bijan Robinson and Drake London also command plenty of attention, potentially leaving Pitts isolated against linebackers and safeties.
I'll take Pitts' athleticism in those one-on-one matchups near the goal line.
