76ers vs Pistons prop: Tyrese Maxey Over 4.5 assists

Top pick: Tyrese Maxey Over 4.5 assists

Tyrese Maxey has emerged as Philadelphia's No. 1 option, but Ausar Thompson's pesky defense could force him into more of a playmaking role. Maxey dished out 11 assists against Chicago on Monday, and his two-man game with Joel Embiid should create plenty of opportunities.

Maxey averaged 6.6 assists per game last season, and Tom Oldfield likes him to exploit mismatches against Duncan Robinson and Kevin Huerter. Tom Oldfield would play this prop up to 56% in his 76ers vs. Pistons predictions.

Hawks vs Wizards prop: Anthony Davis Over 24.5 points

  • Time: 7 p.m.
  • TV: WANF, Peachtree Sports Network
  • Analyst: Quinn Allen

Top pick: Anthony Davis Over 24.5 points

Anthony Davis is looking solid, averaging 23 points per game on 48% shooting. The big man has hit the Over in points in back-to-back contests, scoring 27 on Monday and another 25 on Halloween.

The visitors are also giving up just under 25 ppg to opposing power forwards, and Davis has cleared this total in two of his three home games this season. Quinn Allen will take "The Brow" to clear 25 points to 50% in his Hawks vs. Wizards predictions.

Bulls vs Knicks prop: Caleb Wilson Over 8.5 rebounds + assists

Top pick: Caleb Wilson Over 8.5 rebounds + assists

In addition to liking the Chicago Bulls to cover the spread in his Bulls vs. Knicks predictions, Chris Walder is bullish on Caleb Wilson.

Wilson already looks every bit the fourth overall selection the Bulls invested in this year's draft. He sits second amongst rookies in scoring (21.6 points), third in rebounds (6.7), and eighth in assists (2.7) through his first seven career games.

The latter two numbers are most important here, as Wilson has gone Over a combination prop of 8.5 boards and dimes in each of the last three games and four of his last five.

Wilson's six-rebound, four-assist line on Oct. 28 already proves he can get his numbers against the New York Knicks. As the only Bulls player averaging more than 30 minutes, he'll have every opportunity to do it again tonight.

Bucks vs Celtics prop: Paul George Over 5.5 rebounds

  • Time: 7:30 p.m.
  • TV: WCGV, NBC Sports Boston
  • Analyst: Geoff Clark

Top pick: Paul George Over 5.5 rebounds

Paul George has grabbed at least six boards in four of his six games this season, and there will be more rebounding opportunities with Jayson Tatum out tonight. Boston's rebounding rates improve on both ends of the floor with George in the game, according to CleaningTheGlass.com.

The matchup helps, too, according to Geoff Clark's Bucks vs. Celtics predictions. Milwaukee has the eighth-highest 3-point attempt rate in the NBA, which should create plenty of opportunities for long rebounds.

Cavaliers vs Thunder prop: Meleek Thomas 3+ made threes

  • Time: 8 p.m.
  • TV: DAZN-CLE, KSBI-TV
  • Analyst: Geoff Clark

Top pick: Maleek Thomas Over 2.5 threes

Meleek Thomas is starting for the injured wing Peyton Watson, and Thomas's only offensive responsibilities are to space the floor and catch-and-shoot with Mitchell and Harden creating shots for teammates. Plus, OKC's defense is allowing the fourth-highest rate of wide-open 3-point attempts.

Thomas has drained at least three 3-pointers in three of his four games this season. This isn't a fluke either. Thomas shot 41.6% from behind the arc for Arkansas in college last season and 84.3% from the foul line. The dude is just a knock-down shooter as Geoff Clark targets his perimeter shooting in his Cavaliers vs. Thunder predictions.

Pacers vs Grizzlies prop: Ty Jerome Over 24.5 points

Top pick: Ty Jerome Over 24.5 points

Ty Jerome is putting up numbers we've never seen from him in eight NBA seasons. The Virginia product leads the Grizzlies with 28.2 ppg and has the team's highest usage rate at 32.6%.

Jerome is coming off a 40-point performance against New Orleans, and he's cashed the Over in four of six appearances so far. He's also averaging 18.8 field goals per game. His shot volume is consistently up there.

The Pacers are a defensive liability, and they're allowing 25.6 ppg to opposing point guards. Therefore, Quinn Allen's Pacers vs. Grizzlies predictions back another big evening for Jerome.

Timberwolves vs Rockets prop: Fred VanVleet Over 2.5 threes

  • Time: 8:30 p.m.
  • TV: DAZN, SCHN
  • Analyst: Ed Scimia

Top pick: Fred VanVleet Over 2.5 threes

Fred VanVleet has taken at least eight shots from deep in his last three games, averaging three makes during that span. Overall, he's hit 3+ threes in three of his first six games, and more tellingly, he's taken at least six shots from three-point range in five of those contests.

I expect that volume to continue, and my Timberwolves vs. Rockets predictions include VanVleet to make 3+ threes tonight at up to 50%.

Raptors vs Nuggets prop: RJ Barrett Over 21.5 points

Top pick: RJ Barrett Over 21.5 points

Barrett's hot hand, consistent minutes, and increased offensive responsibility put him in a strong spot to reach 22 points.

He's hit that mark in six of seven games this season, and is coming off an efficient 26-point night on 10-for-19 shooting. If Barrett plays close to 35 minutes, we should have no problem here based on volume alone.

RJ Dustin Saracini's Raptors vs. Nuggets predictions expect him to push the pace and attack the basket all game long against this Denver defense.

Mavericks vs Spurs prop: Dylan Harper Over 15.5 points

Top pick: Dylan Harper Over 15.5 points

Sacramento's backcourt (Zach LaVine, Malik Monk, and Darius Acuff Jr.) combined for 72 points on 55% shooting against Dallas on Monday.

Nearly two-thirds of Dylan Harper's minutes have come in the Spurs' frontcourt this season, but he's a natural two-guard who's only playing out of position so he can be a part of the starting lineup.

That's enough for Chris Walder's Mavericks vs. Spurs predictions to back Harper's scoring tonight.

Lakers vs Kings prop: Walker Kessler Over 12.5 points

  • Time: 10 p.m.
  • TV: Spectrum SportsNet, NBC Sports California
  • Analyst: Jason Logan

Top pick: Walker Kessler Over 12.5 points

Walker Kessler is coming off one of his busiest offensive outings, firing up 13 FGAs during the shootout win over the Heat. He made seven of those shots and finished with 15 points in 32 minutes against a star-studded frontcourt.

The Kings’ defense is dreadful, with the softest spot inside the key. Sacramento gives up an NBA-high 56.6 points in the paint per game.

As a result, Jason Logan eyes another big Kessler night in his Lakers vs. Kings predictions.

Heat vs Clippers prop: Klay Thompson Over 2.5 threes

  • Time: 10:30 p.m.
  • TV: WPLG-IND, ClipperVision
  • Analyst: Zak Hanshew

Top pick: Klay Thompson Over 2.5 threes

Eight of Klay Thompson's 9.4 field-goal attempts per game have come from beyond the arc this season — the highest percentage of 3-point shot attempts of his career.

Late in his career, his role has shifted to a pure spot-up shooter, and Thompson is doing it well, hitting three or more triples in four of seven games. He's 11 of 19 across his last two games, and I expect him to stay hot against a weak Clippers perimeter defense.

Zak Hanshew is trading the Over on Klay's 3-pointers to 55% in his Heat vs. Clippers predictions.
