The Memphis Grizzlies have been one of the biggest surprises in this young NBA season, sitting third in offensive rating and fifth in defensive rating.
The Grizzlies just lost their first game, dropping them to 6-1. Yet, they still rank first in points per game, 3-point makes, and 3-point percentage.
On the other side, they face an Indiana Pacers team that is 2-6 and without Tyrese Haliburton. Indiana has also lost five in a row, and now it'll visit one of the league's best teams so far.
With a 12.9 net rating compared to the Pacers' -3.4 mark, I'll confidently take Memphis to cover.
COVERS INTEL: The Grizzlies rank third in fast-break points, while the Pacers rank 14th in turnovers. Memphis is also averaging even more transition points at home.

I'm leaning Over 228.5 despite Indiana's recent offensive struggles. Memphis leads the NBA with 123.0 ppg and is shooting 42.1% from deep, while the Pacers are allowing 115.6 points per contest.
With the Grizzlies able to break this game wide open, I expect this matchup to exceed the total.
No Haliburton means a bigger workload for Andrew Nembhard, who returns tonight after missing the last game. The guard is averaging 18.5 ppg, and he's cleared this total in all but one appearance.
He's also played 30+ minutes in three straight games, with 16+ field goal attempts in each.

I'm sticking with Nembhard tonight for my Pacers player prop. He's a very respectable long-range shooter, draining 41.7% of his triples in 2026-27. Nembhard is averaging 2.5 makes on 6.0 attempts per contest.
The Canadian standout has cashed the Over in two straight outings, going 4-for-10 against Brooklyn and 5-for-8 vs. Miami. The Grizzlies are allowing 3.4 makes per game to point guards from beyond the arc, and Nembhard is very efficient right now.
Again, he's also getting even more touches, and I expect his shot volume to be high again, making three triples attainable.
Grizzlies player prop: Ty Jerome Over 24.5 points
Play up to 50%.
Ty Jerome is putting up numbers we've never seen from him in eight NBA seasons. The Virginia product leads the Grizzlies with 28.2 ppg and has the team's highest usage rate at 32.6%.
Jerome is coming off a 40-point performance against New Orleans, and he's cashed the Over in four of six appearances so far. He's also averaging 18.8 field goals per game. His shot volume is consistently up there.
The Pacers are a defensive liability, and they're allowing 25.6 ppg to opposing point guards. I'll back another big evening for Jerome.
