Wins have been scarce, but points have been plentiful for the Miami Heat and Los Angeles Clippers.
My NBA picks and Heat vs. Clippers prediction call for a high-scoring matchup in Inglewood as the two teams clash at Intuit Dome on Wednesday, Nov. 4.
TOP PICK
Heat vs Clippers prediction: Over 233.5
I expect plenty of scoring in Wednesday's nightcap, and I'll trade this total up to 236.5.
The Heat and Clippers both rank 20th or worse in defensive rating and in the top 13 in pace this season. Over the last three games, both offenses have played up-tempo basketball, ranking in the top nine in pace.
In that span, Miami owns the top offensive rating, and the Heat have scored 130.3 points per game. Both teams' defensive ratings have fallen to 121 or worse across their last three games, and each team has hit the game total Over in three straight.
Miami and L.A. each rank in the top 10 in 3-point percentage over their last three games, and both rank in the top eight in opponent 3-point percentage.

Heat vs Clippers same-game combo
Giannis Antetokounmpo has scored 30 or more points in four of seven games, and he's fresh off a 30-point showing on the road against the Lakers. The Clippers don't have the interior personnel to contend with Antetokounmpo in the paint, and I'll trade his scoring line up to 31.5.
Beyond the favorable matchup, Antetokounmpo has volume on his side. His 28.4 points on 19 shots easily lead the Heat.
Across his last four games, Antetokounmpo has averaged 7.8 assists and dished out six or more three times. The offense runs through him, and I'll trade this one up to 6.5.
Antetokounmpo's 32% assist percentage ties teammate Davion Mitchell for the 13th-highest among players averaging 30 or more minutes per game, and he leads Miami comfortably in usage rate at 31.4%. Over the last three games, the Clippers have surrendered the fifth-most assists at 30 per tilt.
Heat vs Clippers combo
- Over 233.5
- Giannis Antetokounmpo Over 5.5 assists
- Giannis Antetokounmpo Over 29.5 points
Heat vs Clippers player props
Heat player prop: Klay Thompson Over 2.5 3-pointers
Eight of Klay Thompson's 9.4 field-goal attempts per game have come from beyond the arc this season — the highest percentage of 3-point shot attempts of his career.
Late in his career, his role has shifted to a pure spot-up shooter, and Thompson is doing it well, hitting three or more triples in four of seven games. He's 11 of 19 across his last two games, and I expect him to stay hot against a weak Clippers perimeter defense. Trade to 55%.
Clippers player prop: Rui Hachimura Over 1.5 3-pointers
Rui Hachimura is hitting 2.4 of 6.2 triples per game in his first five games with the Clippers — both career-high marks. The former Laker is knocking down treys at a 38.7% clip, and he's hit two or more in four of five contests.
Miami is leaving 3-point shooters wide open at a higher rate than any other team, so I'm willing to trade this one to 2.5.
