My Raiders vs. Jets predictions are calling for these teams to soar Over the number in Week 8, with Ashton Jeanty and Omar Cooper Jr. playing their parts.

Kickoff at MetLife Stadium is set for 1 p.m. ET, and FOX has the coverage. Check out our NFL picks for more plays across the Week 8 slate.

TOP PICK
Raiders vs Jets prediction today: Over 45.5

The Las Vegas Raiders and New York Jets send out two of the worst defenses in the league, so I recommend this Over up to 46.5.

Las Vegas has allowed the highest offensive success rate while ranking dead last in defensive DVOA over the past five weeks. New York hasn't fared much better, sitting 26th in both metrics over that same stretch.

These two offenses are above average in both EPA per play and offensive success rate, and Vegas has also averaged the sixth-most points per game (26.1), while New York ranks 12th in PFF offense grade.

The market hasn't caught up to Vegas, either, with the Raiders clearing the number in five straight games thanks to improved offensive efficiency and a subsequent defensive collapse.

Covers COVERS INTEL: The Raiders have allowed the sixth-highest conversion rate on third and fourth downs, while the Jets have surrendered the ninth-highest.

Raiders vs Jets combo

Raiders quarterback Kirk Cousins has cleared this benchmark in each of the past six weeks while averaging 286.2 passing yards per game, and New York has surrendered the fourth-highest dropback success rate dating back to Week 3.

Turning to Jets receiver Omar Cooper Jr., he's burst onto the scene the past two weeks and caught 11 of 12 targets for 218 yards, and the Raiders have allowed the fourth-highest EPA per dropback while ranking 29th in pass defense DVOA over the last five weeks. Our Week 8 expert combo picks have more same-game parlay ideas across the slate.

Raiders vs Jets combo

  • Over 45.5
  • Kirk Cousins 225+ passing yards
  • Omar Cooper Jr. 40+ receiving yards

Raiders vs Jets touchdown scorer: Ashton Jeanty

This touchdown prop is in play up to 56%.

The Raiders are committed to running back Ashton Jeanty, and he's handled 67.7% of the red zone carries and 75% of the goal-line rushes this season.

Jeanty has also found the end zone in consecutive games, and the Jets have surrendered seven touchdowns to running backs through seven games.

New York also ranks 24th in rush stuff rate this season and has allowed the highest EPA per rush over the past five weeks. For more scorer ideas, see our Week 8 anytime touchdown picks.

Raiders vs Jets player prop: Omar Cooper Jr. 40+ receiving yards

This Over is playable up to 45+ receiving yards for Cooper.

In addition to the highlighted case for Cooper, he’s also posted a high-end 4.27 yards per route run over the past two weeks, and QB Geno Smith has an elite 158.3 NFL passer rating when targeting the wideout during the heater.

I also particularly value Cooper's 3.36 average yards of separation, which ranks in the 80th percentile.
