Jason Logan’s expert pick: Over 40.5
The Washington Commanders defense doesn’t put up much of a fuss. Washington is a bottom-tier team in several key defensive measurements, including third-down conversions and red-zone defense.
Making up for the soft stop unit is an offense that should at least be able to keep its quarterback clean. The Philadelphia Eagles' once-vaunted pass rush is no more, boasting the fifth-lowest pressure rate, and that means Jayden Daniels has time in the pocket.
Daniels is now four weeks returned from his elbow injury, with a bye in Week 7, and is coming off his best performance of the season. He passed for 300 yards and a 72.5% completion rate with two TDs in a loss to San Francisco on Oct. 19.
Josh Inglis' expert pick: Rachaad White anytime touchdown
I'll back an RB1 against the Philadelphia Eagles, who just gave up 204 rushing yards to the Cowboys and are playing on a short week. Rachaad White is one of the better positive-EV touchdown options in this game, with the Washington Commanders' vet carrying a fair probability of 40%.
Jacory Croskey-Merritt is on IR, Terry McLaurin is out, and Stefon Diggs is questionable. Austin Ekeler saw almost no action in Week 6 before the bye, while White played 69% of the snaps and accounted for 60% of the RB opportunities. His receiving ability also keeps him on the field in two-minute situations and negative game scripts. I got this at 35%.
And don't miss out on more of my anytime TD picks for Week 8.
Joe Osborne's expert pick: Chig Okonkwo 30+ receiving yards
Chig Okonkwo has come alive since Jayden Daniels returned, piling up 129 receiving yards on 13 total targets over his last two games.
With Terry McLaurin out, there’s plenty of opportunity for that connection to keep growing. Against an Eagles team that’s falling apart, 30-plus yards at 55% is a modest ask for a tight end earning his quarterback’s trust.
Jon Metler’s expert pick: Jayden Daniels anytime touchdown
At 29%, I'll hit the button on Jayden Daniels to score a touchdown, as I price his chances closer to 36% against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday Night Football.
Vic Fangio likes to dial up man coverage near the goal line to take away quick-hitting routes like slants and fades. With defenders focused on their assignments and their backs potentially turned to the quarterback, Daniels could have an opportunity to exploit the coverage and walk into the end zone.
