Back-to-back double-digit wins have the Rams rolling again, and their edge at the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball should carry over against the Commanders on Sunday.

Back-to-back double-digit wins have the Rams rolling again, and my Rams vs. Commanders prediction says their edge at the line of scrimmage should carry over this afternoon.

Los Angeles is a 4.5-point road favorite at Northwest Stadium, where its pass rush should be a problem for a Washington passing game that ranks 26th in completion percentage. Check out my NFL picks for Sunday, plus our Week 9 best bets for every game, with kickoff set for 1 p.m. ET on FOX.

TOP PICK
Rams vs Commanders prediction today: Rams -4.5

The Los Angeles Rams are digging deep to save this season, and consecutive double-digit wins (2-0 ATS) make the visitors worthy favorites here against the Washington Commanders, one of the games in our Week 9 against-the-spread picks.

It starts with the L.A. defense, which is generating a 41% pressure rate on QB dropbacks (third-best in the NFL) and could welcome back Myles Garrett on Sunday to finish those plays.

That unit can set up short fields for Matthew Stafford to pad the lead, and Sean McVay's tight end-heavy sets should create easy checkdowns, ample rushing lanes, and play-action shots to Puka Nacua.

The Commanders had lost three straight before beating up on the short-handed Eagles last weekend — and if the hosts fall behind, it's hard to trust the Washington passing game, which ranks 26th in completion percentage (60.6%). I'd play this up to -5.5 and 56%.

Covers COVERS INTEL: The Commanders rank 30th in EPA per rush allowed this season and just lost defensive linemen Daron Payne and Javon Kinlaw for the year. That spells trouble against a Rams team that's racked up 328 yards on the ground across its last two outings.

Rams vs Commanders combo

The Rams can ride the one-two punch of Kyren Williams and Blake Corum to a road win on Sunday (see our Week 9 moneyline picks for every game), and the visitors are 8-2 SU in their last 10 road games against non-NFC West opponents.

Expect to see plenty of the L.A. run game here, with Williams nailing the Over on this rushing attempts number in five of his past six contests — and Washington's recent injuries leave the hosts vulnerable against the Rams' elite run-blocking offensive line.

Williams has piled up seven touchdowns through his first eight games, and Stafford isn't a threat to steal goal-line opportunities. This is a favorable matchup for Williams, who has feasted on 21 red-zone rushing attempts, the sixth-most among all running backs in the NFL.

Rams vs Commanders combo

  • Rams moneyline
  • Kyren Williams Over 13.5 rush attempts
  • Kyren Williams anytime touchdown

Rams vs Commanders touchdown scorer: Stefon Diggs

I'm buying into a game script that sees Washington playing from behind, and Stefon Diggs is Jayden Daniels' No. 1 option now that Terry McLaurin is out for the season. Diggs has found the end zone in back-to-back outings, making him a live option for Week 9 anytime touchdown picks, and he leads the Commanders with 44 targets this year.

Plus, the Rams' secondary will be depleted without Jaylen Watson — and possibly Trent McDuffie and Kam Curl, too. Look for the L.A. backups to struggle with Diggs' quick release around the goal line. I'd bet this up to 36%.

Rams vs Commanders player prop: Jayden Daniels Over 37.5 rushing yards

When the L.A. front seven flushes Daniels from the pocket, the Commanders will still have chances to move the chains. That's a testament to Daniels' elite rushing, and he's recorded a run of at least 14 yards in five of his six outings this year, while averaging 47.2 rushing yards per game in 2026.

Injuries have also dented Washington's running back depth (Jacory Croskey-Merritt, Jeremy McNichols), so OC David Blough may also sprinkle in a few designed runs for Daniels in key spots. Among Week 9 player props, this one is playable up to 39.5 yards and 56%.
