As we get closer to kickoff in Sunday’s game between the Titans and Cardinals, the question is when the Titans will get their first win of the season.

Unfortunately, they have many flaws, particularly on offense, and that’s going to hurt their chances of winning this weekend. Our picks are expecting the Cardinals to get the win and draw level with the Rams in the close NFC West.

Don’t miss my Titans vs Cardinals predictions and NFL picks for Sunday, October 5.

Titans vs Cardinals prediction

Titans vs Cardinals Best bet: Under 41.5 (-105)

Neither of these teams has been lighting up the league on offense, and the Under has been a winner in both of the Tennessee Titans’ games away from Nashville and 75% of the Arizona Cardinals' games this season.

Both teams rank inside the bottom 10 in the NFL in points scored per game on offense, with the Titans sitting dead last, averaging just 12.6 points scored per game.

The Titans are one of just three teams yet to secure a win, and it’s hard to imagine them getting that win anytime soon when they can’t protect their quarterback.

This year’s first overall pick has been poor, throwing just two touchdown passes (tied-33rd in the league), 614 yards (27th in the league), while averaging an interception every other game and ranking 32nd in the league in QB rating.

Despite all of that, there’s a strong case that a large element of the fault comes from the offensive line, which has allowed him to be sacked 17 times.

With the Titans’ offense being anaemic, it’s hard to see them contributing enough to cover the points total for this game.

The Cardinals have only averaged 20.5 points per game, are not on their third starting running back, and have only exceeded 20 points once in four games, and that came against a terrible Panthers team.

Titans vs Cardinals same-game parlay

In addition to our best bet, we’re going to back the Cardinals to cover the spread, with the Titans covering just once this season.

The Titans couldn’t even put a single point on the board against the Texans, and while the Cardinals’ pass rush doesn’t match up with that in Houston, it’s good enough to slow Ward and his offensive line down.

To finish the SGP, we’re backing Michael Carter to score a touchdown. He’s been taking reps as the starter with both James Conner and Trey Benson on the shelf.

He’s only had one carry this season, but looking back to Week 18 last year, he performed well and found the endzone, something he should be able to replicate, given how much this team relies upon the running game.

Running backs have scored seven touchdowns in just four games against the Titans this season, tied with the Ravens for the most.

Titans vs Cardinals SGP

  • Under 41.5 Total Points
  • Cardinals -8.5

Our big-ticket SGP: Crushing Carter!

Our lottery same-game parlay is going big by adding two legs to our above SGP. We’re taking Carter to cover his rushing yard line.

In two games with 10+ carries last season, he averaged 56.5 yards, and despite the small sample size, we should be confident, with Tennessee having allowed the fifth most rushing yards, averaging 141.5 per game.

To finish off we’re taking the Titans to score Under 16.5 points, a number they’ve kept teams under twice this season.

Titans vs Cardinals SGP

  • Under 41.5 Total Points
  • Arizona Cardinals -8.5
  • Michael Carter anytime touchdown
  • Michael Carter Over 46.5 Rushing Yards
  • Tennessee Titans TT Under 16.5
