No. 8 Texas Tech looks to keep its undefeated record intact in Week 8 when the Red Raiders visit unranked Cincinnati at Nippert Stadium.

Texas Tech enters as an 11.5-point road favorite, with the total set at 56.5. Kickoff is scheduled for noon ET on FS1.

My Texas Tech vs. Cincinnati prediction backs the Bearcats to find enough offensive success to keep things interesting.

Here's how I'm approaching the spread, total, and combo, along with more college football picks for Saturday.

 TOP PICK
Who will win Texas Tech vs Cincinnati: Cincinnati +11.5

Playable up to 54%.

Texas Tech remains undefeated in 2026, but much of its success has come against inferior opponents with no realistic chance of making the College Football Playoff.

The Red Raiders narrowly defeated No. 22 Houston 28-26, but they were outgained in that matchup and trailed for much of the game. Oregon State doesn't have a win against a ranked opponent this season, but it still managed 472 yards of total offense against Texas Tech in September.

Injury-plagued Arizona State suffered a 55-19 loss to Baylor, yet it recorded 21 first downs and 415 yards of total offense against Texas Tech last weekend.

Poor defensive teams are vulnerable every time they step on the field. Texas Tech has played undisciplined football for much of the season, and I expect the Red Raiders to give Cincinnati plenty of opportunities to remain competitive in Week 8.

Covers COVERS INTEL: Cincinnati's rushing offense ranks third in the conference and 11th nationally, averaging 231.2 rushing yards per game.

Texas Tech vs Cincinnati Over/Under pick: Over 56.5

Playable up to 54%.

Texas Tech has a reputation for being strong defensively, but there's little evidence from the first half of the 2026 season to support that claim.

The Red Raiders have played two road games this season, allowing 472 yards of total offense to Oregon State and 375 yards to Colorado. Texas Tech was outgained in both matchups.

Cincinnati lost 45-42 to West Virginia in Week 7, continuing its run of high-scoring games. Four of the Bearcats' last five contests have produced at least 57 combined points, including each of their three home games during that stretch.

Cincinnati's defense has surrendered 1,120 yards over its last two games and ranks 127th nationally in opponent third-down conversion percentage allowed (45.7%).

Pro Football Focus grades both Texas Tech and Cincinnati among the nation's top 36 offenses. With both defenses showing weaknesses, I expect plenty of points in this Week 8 matchup.

Texas Tech vs Cincinnati combo

Playable up to 24%.

If Cincinnati is going to remain competitive against Texas Tech, the Bearcats will need to put points on the board.

The Red Raiders have scored at least 28 points in each of their first six games this season, including 49 against Sam Houston and 53 against Arizona State.

Meanwhile, Cincinnati has hit its team total Over in five of its last eight home games. With both offenses capable of moving the ball and neither defense inspiring much confidence, this could turn into an entertaining Week 8 shootout.
