Week 2 of the NFL season is often referred to as 'overreaction week,' so before you decide to lock in your NFL picks, I urge you to breathe.

No team is as good, or as bad (Okay, maybe the New Orleans Saints are an exception) as they looked in Week 1.

Here are my best NFL picks against the spread for Week 2's slate.

Expert Week 2 NFL ATS picks

Commanders vs Packers: Packers (-3.5)

The Washington Commanders' win vs. the New York Giants should be taken with a grain of salt. The Giants are one of the worst teams in the league, so the competition goes up a notch in Week 2 vs. the Green Bay Packers. Micah Parsons paid dividends early, and the Packers' D will get enough stops to win and cover at home.

Bills vs Jets: Bills (-6.5)

Sure, the New York Jets scored 32, but they also gave up 34 against a team that has major question marks on offense. The Buffalo Bills? They don't have any question marks. They will be one of the best offenses in the league, and I see them putting up another 30-spot and covering this game with ease.

Bears vs Lions: Lions (-5.5)

The "Ben Johnson revenge angle" is a thing, but the Chicago Bears being good is not. They continue to shoot themselves in the foot, and with one fewer day of rest/prep, I don't see this game going well. The Detroit Lions looked bad in Week 1, but they'll be OK. They've got too many talented players to falter.

Browns vs Ravens: Browns (+10.5)

The emotional factor after blowing a game the way the Baltimore Ravens did in Week 1 looms large. The defense was brutal, and the Cleveland Browns — surprisingly — played well enough to win against the Bengals. This is a division game, so I'll take the hook here on double digits.

Jaguars vs Bengals: Bengals (-3.5)

The Cincinnati Bengals should have lost Week 1. They played extremely poorly, but the good news is they can only get better. The Jacksonville Jaguars' win against the Panthers is not impressive, and trading away Tank Bigsby will hurt them.

Rams vs Titans: Titans (+5.5)

I was out on the Los Angeles Rams before Week 1, and I'm still out on them. Let me see what the rookie can do at home vs. a team more on the Tennessee Titans' level.

Patriots vs Dolphins: Patriots (+1.5)

Do you really want to bet on the Miami Dolphins? Mike McDaniel may be coaching his last game on Sunday.

Giants vs Cowboys: Cowboys (-6)

Russell Wilson or Jaxson Dart...it won't matter. The New York Giants' offensive outlook is bleak, and the Dallas Cowboys can build off a good showing on TNF vs. the Eagles. Throw in the added rest/prep time, and I'll lay the points here with the home side.

Seahawks vs Steelers: Steelers (-3)

The Pittsburgh Steelers offense impressed me in Week 1. Aaron Rodgers silenced some of the doubters, and I'm doubling down on them at home vs. an overrated Seattle Seahawks side.

49ers vs Saints: Saints (+4.5)

Most of you will call me crazy for taking the New Orleans Saints, but the spot is ideal for an ATS cover. The San Francisco 49ers are coming off a division road win, but now travel to New Orleans without George Kittle and without a kicker (they released Jake Moody). The Saints are playing their second straight home game, and the offense didn't look too bad, outgaining the Cardinals 315 to 276.

Panthers vs Cardinals: Cardinals (-6.5)

The Carolina Panthers are headed for the No. 1 overall pick in next year's draft. The Arizona Cardinals roll.

Broncos vs Colts: Broncos (-2)

Is Daniel Jones the second coming of Peyton Manning? Probably not. I wasn't in on the Indianapolis Colts before Week 1, and I'm not about to jump on the bandwagon. The Denver Broncos defense will be the difference maker here, and they'll pick up the win and road cover.

Eagles vs Chiefs: Eagles (-1)

The Kansas City Chiefs have issues at wide receiver, and Patrick Mahomes can only do so much. The Philadelphia Eagles are the more well-rounded team and shouldn't struggle putting up points. Don't fall for the "Mahomes as an underdog trend."

Falcons vs Vikings: Falcons (+5)

Take two on the Atlanta Falcons. They should have beaten the Bucs, and the Minnesota Vikings won on Monday Night Football because of the Bears' incompetence. This is a high spread for a rookie QB, so give me the Falcons.

Buccaneers vs Texans: Buccaneers (+2.5)

I backed the Houston Texans in Week 1 and lost. I faded the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and also lost. But at least Tampa Bay scored more than 10 points. I'll take them here to move to 2-0.

Chargers vs Raiders: Chargers (-3.5)

Tip of the cap to the Las Vegas Raiders for going on the road and beating the Patriots, but the Los Angeles Chargers offense is much more explosive. I'm still not sold on the Raiders' defensive unit, so I'll take the team that can put up points in a hurry.
