In a rematch of last year's Sugar Bowl, Georgia is set to bite back against a flawed Ole Miss team.

Georgia has a chance at revenge against Ole Miss after last year's Sugar Bowl loss when the teams meet Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET (ABC) at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford, Miss.

The Bulldogs are 3.5-point road favorites, and my Georgia vs. Ole Miss prediction and college football picks expect Kirby Smart's defense to rise to the occasion this time against Trinidad Chambliss.

 TOP PICK
Who will win Georgia vs Ole Miss: Georgia -3.5

Georgia and Ole Miss played two wild shootouts last year, with the Bulldogs winning the regular-season matchup and the Rebels taking it in the Sugar Bowl. This time around, I like Georgia to cover as many as 6.5 points on the road against Ole Miss.

Defense will be the difference in the matchup this year, with Georgia having one of the best in the country (ranked No. 2 by SP+), and Ole Miss' being one of the worst in the SEC. With the Rebels down All-American running back Kewan Lacy, the Bulldogs' defense can lock in on stopping Trinidad Chambliss.

Chambliss has faced one other defense ranked top five by SP+, Texas, and struggled in a loss. Against the Longhorns, he threw three interceptions and put up a season-low 60% adjusted completion percentage.

Covers COVERS INTEL: Georgia's defense is its dominant side of the ball, but the Bulldogs offense makes the most of its drives, ranking third in the country in points per opportunity (4.91). That's a problem for an Ole Miss defense that ranks outside the top 30 in both pass success rate (39.7%) and rush success rate (43.4%).

Georgia vs Ole Miss Over/Under pick: Under 56.5

Though both games between these teams last year were full of points, Georgia's defense should keep it relatively low-scoring this time around, and I would play the Under at 55.5 or better.

The Bulldogs' defense ranks top 20 nationally in available yards percentage (33.5%), havoc rate (19.4%), and success rate allowed (35.2%). With no Lacy for Ole Miss, it'll put even more on Chambliss, who has frequently had to carry the team this season, and we saw that approach fall flat against Texas.

However, Georgia's offense hasn't been lighting up the scoreboard lately either, averaging just 23.6 points per game in its last three outings. So while this is one of the must-watch matchups in my Week 10 Top 25 predictions, it's not because I'm expecting another shootout.

Georgia vs Ole Miss combo

Ole Miss is a feast-or-famine type of team. The Rebels beat LSU and Missouri, but were blown out by Florida and fell behind so quickly against Texas that they couldn't dig themselves out.

That's what happens when you lean so heavily on a star QB to make up for an inconsistent run game and one of the worst defenses in the SEC. Against Georgia, Chambliss won't be Superman; Smart has too much NFL talent on a defense that's allowed more than 20 points just once this season.

If Ole Miss falls behind, Georgia's offense will lean on Gunner Stockton to manage the game and take a ball-control approach against a Rebels defense ranked 88th in the country in EPA per rush.
