The Dolphins have had issues covering tight ends this year with George Kittle securing a touchdown and 80 yards last week, and the combo of Michael Mayer/Jack Bech hauling in nine catches for 55 yards and a score in the season opener. With the Chiefs scheming Kelce open so far this year, expect him to fly past this number, he's done so twice already.
Looking for a slam dunk? It's Kenneth Walker. He was denied three straight times on the 1-yard line a week ago but is in line to score at least once against one of the worst run defenses in football. With the Chiefs likely in cruise control come the second half, look for them to lean on Walker and Emmett Johnson. If you're looking for more value, the team is looking to give the latter "more snaps," which could bode well this week in the touchdown department.
Watson is making his return to Cleveland in the Browns' home opener. Half of his passes in last week's win were dumpoffs. Against the Panthers' pass rush and linebackers, that could be a problem. If the fans turn on him early, he could get a quick hook.
I’m anticipating the Titans attempting to establish the run with Pollard because the Giants have allowed the fifth-highest rushing success rate, and the howling winds in the forecast will make it difficult to attack through the air. Additionally, Tennessee running back Tyjae Spears is questionable with an ankle injury, so additional carries will be allotted to Pollard. I also value the third-year Titan handling 14 carries in Week 2, despite Tennessee having possession for just 23:35 against the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Giants have allowed three touchdowns and a monster 5.62 yards per rush to opposing running backs, and Pollard is set for a heavy workload with backfield mate Tyjae Spears questionable with an ankle injury. Pollard has handled 45.5% of the red-zone carries for the Titans, and he’s picked up a solid 3.05 yards after contact per attempt with a 79.5 PFF Elusive Rating through two games.
This is one of the higher +EV TD plays, per THE BLITZ projections, which have Hunter Henry at a fair price of 3.05x vs. this 3.5x bargain. I'm not going to try to figure out a muddied New England backfield, but Henry is playing 92% of the snaps, and the injury to rookie Eli Raridon could help open up some more targets. The New England wide receivers are tough to trust, with five of them splitting just 12 targets last week. Henry led the team in routes and targets last week and might be the No. 1 option in the passing game right now. TEs with this kind of route and target volume should be around 3x to score.
TreVeyon Henderson made his season debut for New England in Week 2, garnering 60% of snaps after his backfield mate Rhamondre Stevenson fumbled early on. Henderson finished with 16 carries for 76 yards and while the touches could be better balanced in Week 3, head coach Mike Vrabel didn’t dismiss Henderson’s involvement. With the Jaguars pass rush a problem, the New England run game needs to take heat off Maye and avoid long third downs. Jacksonville isn’t as strong versus the run, including the No. 28 rating in run stop win rate at ESPN. Measuring projections between the Pats two RBs, Henderson holds the most value. His forecasts lean toward 40+ rushing yards with some as high as 57 gains on the ground in Week 3.
With this spread above the key number of 7, I’d recommend taking the points with the Los Angeles to -120. The Bolts are in a desperation spot, and the Bills haven’t shown off on defense with the fifth-highest EPA per play allowed while also surrendering the third-highest passer rating. Additionally, the Chargers have allowed the seventh-lowest EPA per rush, and the Bills have a banged up receiving corps with both D.J. Moore (shoulder) and Keon Coleman (ankle) practicing sparingly this week. It all adds up to Bolts sustaining drives to keep this game competitive, or Los Angeles coming through late with the backdoor cover against a leaky Buffalo defense on Sunday afternoon.
Hampton has also rushed for 3.2 yards after contact per attempt with a third-ranked 103.8 PFF Elusive Rating while handling 66% of the team’s carries. So, with Buffalo surrendering four touchdowns to opposing running backs already, I like the go-to rusher to score for a third straight week. Hampton has handled 50% of the touches in the red zone for the Bolts and has converted both his rushes inside the 10-yard line into touchdowns, too.
Jahmyr Gibbs continues to be one of the most productive overall offensive weapons in the NFL. A year after generating 1,839 total yards from scrimmage, he's run for 208 yards and picked up 91 more in the passing game in the first two weeks of 2026. I like Gibbs to go for 130+ total yards at up to 50%.
Amon-Ra St. Brown has now scored 10+ touchdowns in three straight seasons, and he's off to an even faster start in 2026. Detroit's star receiver has scored twice in each of his first two games of the season, catching a total of 19 balls for 209 yards in that span. I'm taking St. Brown to score at up to 55% in Week 3.
The Colts' defense continues to leak, especially its secondary, which has allowed back-to-back 300-yard days from opposing quarterbacks. Stroud is off to a hot start himself, throwing for 627 across his first two games - not bad. Indy is allowing nearly 14 yards per pass completion, which should put us in a great spot to cash this come Sunday.
The Colts own one of the worst red-zone defenses in the NFL, allowing teams to score at a near-70% clip when they reach their 20. This bodes well for Montgomery, who's being used the third-most in the red zone of any other running back in football, totaling six attempts for 19 yards and two touchdowns. Suffice to say when they get down by the goalline, Montgomery is their man.
Seattle had 40 rushing attempts in Week 2, and Emanuel Wilson got the bulk of the work (21 carries) with Jadarian Price sidelined (chest).
Even if Price is back in the mix here, this is nice value for Wilson to punch one in, and he was trusted with seven red zone carries against the Arizona Cardinals last weekend.
Smith-Njigba is off to a flying start, with 277 receiving yards and four touchdowns through two games, and he cleared this O/U number in 13 of his 17 regular season outings last season.
Look for JSN to exploit mismatches against a Commanders secondary that’s leaked seven passing TDs already this season.
Burrow has thrown for two or more touchdowns in six of his past eight games for 18 total dating back to 2025, and the Steelers have backfield question marks. Pittsburgh cornerback Jamel Dean practiced Thursday after missing Wednesday’s session with an ankle injury, safety DeShon Elliott is on injured reserve, and Joey Porter Jr.'s status continues to be clouded by contract disputes after missing the first two weeks of the season.
The Bengals haven’t looked to Higgins in the red zone yet in 2026, and I’m anticipating that to change following consecutive seasons with double-digit touchdowns. Higgins garnered 19.8% and 19% of the red-zone targets the past two years, and wide receiver Andrei Iosivas (thumb) is also out of the lineup. With Pittsburgh set to have its hands full with star wideout Ja'Marr Chase, Higgins stands to see softer coverage in Week 3, too.
McCaffrey has a team-high 12 targets this season and led San Francisco with 102 catches last season. It was his third season with 100+ receptions. CMC caught five passes in Week 1 and caught at least five passes in 14 of his 19 regular-season and playoff games last season.
Murray is expected to return under center after Carson Wentz guided Minnesota to a pair of victories in his absence. Murray managed just 11 snaps in the season opener before exiting with a concussion, and his return comes against a challenging Buccaneers defense that ranks 11th in total defense. I'm giving this defense the benefit of the doubt to shut down a quarterback returning from concussion, and coming off the worst season of his career.
Bucky's red-zone usage alone should make you want to invest in him to score against the Vikings. Minnesota is coughing up 100 yards per game on the ground, and when you add in Irving's volume both as a runner and pass-catcher out of the backfield, it's the perfect storm for him hitting pay dirt for the second time this season.
Play up to 50%. CeeDee Lamb has quickly re-established himself as Dallas’ premier scoring threat, already producing three touchdowns through two games. Five of his catches have come inside the 20, and Baltimore has allowed touchdowns on 80% of opposing red-zone trips, giving Lamb another favorable setup near the goal line.
Play up to 35%. Lamar Jackson’s rushing upside stands out against a Dallas defense that has already allowed an NFL-high 126 rushing yards to quarterbacks. With 74 yards and a score on 11 carries himself, Jackson has multiple paths to capitalize on a matchup that has been especially vulnerable to mobile QBs.
Tyler Shough has rushed for at least 18 yards in six of his 11 career starts, including 23 yards last week against the Baltimore Ravens. The Saints have the fourth-highest passing rate in the NFL, so Shough should get enough opportunities to scramble.
New Orleans offensive-minded head coach Kellen Moore will find ways to use RB Travis Etienne Jr., who signed a four-year, $48 million deal this offseason. Etienne has 26 career rushing touchdowns and eight receiving touchdowns, including a career-best six receiving scores last season.
The Broncos barely looked Jaylen Waddle’s way in Week 1, giving him three targets which resulted in one catch for two yards. In Week 2, they fed him 10 targets, and he responded with eight catches for 138 yards as the offense found its rhythm. Waddle will be the most competent receiver the Rams have faced up until this game and he doesn’t need another monster performance to reach a modest five catches.
This might seem short, but I have this fair price much closer to even money. Matthew Stafford had no interest in passing to anyone but Davante Adams last Monday, even with the injuries to Puka Nacua and Jordan Whittington, who have been DNPs early this week. Adding to the pass-catcher injuries, Colby Parkinson is dealing with a knee injury. Parkinson played 70% of the snaps in Week 2 and was used more as a blocker, which could be a downgrade for the run game. Stafford was also happy to keep passing in the second half in a game that was already over when Jaxson Dart left. Adams was a beast against a bad secondary, putting up 195 yards and two TDs on 10 targets. He has a 28% target share heading into the Sunday nighter. Adams is also arguably the best red-zone pass-catching wide receiver in football. He tied for the league lead in RZ targets last year with 32 despite playing in only 14 games. He should be even money here, and even Patrick Surtain doesn't scare me.
I got this at 7.85x on Friday before the injury report. Dallas Goedert is likely to miss time with what is being reported as an MCL sprain, DeVonta Smith was a DNP on Thursday, and Saquon Barkley was limited. There are some key figures of this offense missing or banged up in a matchup against the Bears, who gave up 37 points in Week 1 and are likely down to QB3 on the depth chart. Johnny Mundt is going to eat snaps with two other TEs on IR in Grant Calcaterra and Eli Stowers. Former Eagle Zach Ertz was signed this week because of the lack of depth. Mundt was targeted on three of his 19 routes against the Titans in Week 2 and could see five or six targets if things fall his way. No TE1 should be longer than 4.5x.
I'll be backing the Philadelphia Eagles at -4.5 in this one, as I price them closer to a 6-point favorite against the Chicago Bears. I'm not going to lie, the side I choose always comes down to the numbers, but as a football fan, I'm thrilled that my edge in the projections is with the Eagles instead of Tyson Bagent/Case Keenum and the Bears. The line has moved six points from Bears -1.5 to Eagles -4.5 following Caleb Williams' injury and the downgrade to Bagent/Keenum. But I don't think the market has adjusted enough for this specific matchup against an Eagles defense coached by Vic Fangio and loaded with playmakers. This isn't a Williams-to-Bagent/Keenum downgrade against the Tennessee Titans.
Our experts and prediction models are hard at work analyzing the data. Check back shortly for today's picks, or explore our Computer Picks for inspiration.
For every matchup in an NFL season, our NFL computer produces selections for a variety of different betting angles. Our computer picks are based on a proprietary algorithm that values each team in the current week to produce moneyline, spread, and point total selections.
The table above, below the game picks, tracks our NFL computer's results over the last 100 games, outlining the record and profit for selections, based on $100 unit size. We track the profit based on both opening and closing lines for every matchup.
The easiest way to utilize our computer picks is to simply follow our selections for every matchup, what you'd call ailing the computer." But there are other ways to utilize our NFL computer picks, as well.
You can use our NFL computer as a jumping-off point to do more research into specific lines, cross-referencing with expert picks, which can be found above the selections for some matchups, recent NFL betting trends, and more.
As well, you can gauge the confidence of the matchup. The larger the projected score, the more confident the computer is in a specific pick.
Or, if you want to implement a system, betting only on underdogs, for example, you can look for matchups in which our computer likes the underdog to inform which picks you're going to hone in on for a given week.
We have these computer picks for every sport you're looking to wager on, as well:
NFL moneyline picks are the simplest way to get in on the NFL action. All you have to do is simply bet on which team you think will win the game.
For moneyline picks, the favorite is represented with a minus sign (-) in front of the odds, while the underdog has a plus (+). However, you don't get the same profit for picking an underdog compared to a favorite. If the favored team is -120, a $100 bet on them would pay out $80 in profit and $180 total, if they win the game. The underdog winning at +150 would pay out a $150 profit, $250 total.
We have a complete breakdown of how to read NFL moneyline odds for these NFL computer picks.
While moneyline picks are the simplest, picking NFL games against the spread is probably the most common wager for regular NFL bettors.
To bet an NFL spread, you wager on whether a team will win by a certain number of points or more or if they'll lose by fewer points than the spread. For example, if the spread is -6.5 for the New England Patriots, you would win the bet if they win the game by 7 points or more. Or if a team is +6.5, you're betting on if they'll win outright or lose by fewer than 6.5 points.
There is a correlation between moneyline odds and the spread, as books set these lines based on the same information.
You can read more about NFL spreads here.
If you aren’t entirely sold on which NFL team will win or cover in an NFL game, you can still use our NFL computer picks to bet on the point total.
As opposed to taking a side, in total or Over/Under betting, you wager on whether both NFL teams will combine for a final score of more than (Over) or less than (Under) the total number of points set by oddsmakers.
The computer picks, and your handicapping of totals is more about how you think both teams will score points, not which team has the edge to win.
