NFL trade candidates: Latest news and live odds

Where could Jonathan Taylor get traded?

Taylor is the biggest name floating on the trade block ahead of the Nov. 10 deadline, and the Broncos are emerging as a legitimate landing spot for the star running back after placing RJ Harvey on injured reserve. They need help in the backfield to take the pressure off an enigmatic Bo Nix under center, especially with the AFC West crown within reach.

The Giants have surged as the market favorite with a week to go before the deadline, but our NFL expert Neil Parker is buying the Broncos with his Jonathan Taylor next team odds analysis. I'd also keep an eye on the Seahawks, whose offense has looked lethargic this year and could be willing to splurge on a Kenneth Walker replacement to salvage their title defense.

Where could Aaron Rodgers get traded?

The Steelers are 6-2 after four straight wins to take sole possession of first place in the AFC North. Trading Rodgers now would mean handing a division race to his replacement, which is a tough case to make in Mike McCarthy's first year as head coach.

If Pittsburgh's plans did change, the Vikings feel like the likeliest suitors after flirting with a Rodgers marriage in the past and struggling offensively amid their hot start this season. Minnesota's receiving corps would be among the best of Rodgers' career, but that doesn't give the Steelers a real motivation to sell. I'd expect him to finish his season (and career) in Pittsburgh.

Where could Garrett Wilson get traded?

Wilson is clearly frustrated in New York, but he has said he wants to stay with the Jets, who signed him to a four-year extension in 2025. That's a key reason why the incumbent remains the heavy favorite to retain Wilson through this year's trade deadline.

Our NFL expert Kyle LaRusic sees the same picture in his breakdown of the latest Garrett Wilson next team odds, predicting Wilson to stick around in New York, though the 49ers and Chiefs are compelling landing spots as contenders with a need for consistent WR play.

Where could Breece Hall get traded?

If the Jets did decide to move Hall, he'd instantly be one of the most coveted trade options at this year's deadline. Yet Aaron Glenn has been clear that the Jets intend to keep him, which is why New York remains the market favorite to keep him even with Hall missing five straight games and Allen breaking out as his replacement.

The Broncos, who are in desperate need of help at running back, have emerged as a top suitor for Hall alongside the Vikings and crosstown rival Giants. I'm frankly skeptical that any of them are willing to pay the price to acquire Hall after he signed an extension with the team this past summer, though the Jets' descent into inferiority could change their deadline plans.

Where could Josh Downs get traded?

Downs has already asked the Colts for a trade, making him one of the likelier candidates to get moved before the Nov. 10 deadline. Unlike his recently departed teammates, though, Downs is still only 25 and could remain a key piece of the Colts' future plans.

While he's never been a true WR1, Downs would be an ideal fit as an underneath receiver for a contender like the Chiefs, who need consistency in their passing game despite talent on the outside. The Giants and Bucs have both emerged as potential suitors, too, and I'd keep an eye on the Steelers making a play for Downs in Rodgers' final season.

Where could Maxx Crosby get traded?

The strongest reason to expect Crosby to stay is coming from the Raiders themselves. Adam Schefter reported Sunday that Las Vegas has not held trade discussions about Crosby this season and does not plan to move him, and Crosby reportedly also wants to stay.

The Cowboys are an attractive landing spot on paper and feature among the lead candidates to trade for him at Kalshi, but their collapse against the Cardinals last week could make it tough to stomach the necessary price to land Crosby midseason. Dallas is short on picks next year, and the Raiders don't seem eager to sell low. Andy Whiteoak broke down the Maxx Crosby next team odds earlier this season with a look at his fit with the 49ers.

Where could Khalil Mack get traded?

Mack is 35 and playing on a one-year deal for a winless team, which gives the Chargers a reason to consider offers for the former All-Pro edge rusher. But Harbaugh says he wants Mack to stay, and his sway in the building could be enough to kill trade talks before they heat up ahead of next week's deadline.

The obvious option here is a reunion with the Bears, where Mack played for four seasons before joining the Chargers in 2022. He'd be an ideal fit next to Jeffery Simmons inside and a strong veteran for guys like Montez Sweat and Austin Booker to learn under, but Chicago would still need to compel L.A. with the right trade offer.

Where could Brian Thomas Jr. get traded?

Thomas has seen his role shrink in Jacksonville as the third-year receiver has hauled in just 10 of his 22 targets through his first seven games in 2026. That makes him an intriguing trade candidate given his size, speed, and past production after a prolific rookie season before injuries and fit issues derailed his sophomore season last year.

Mike Florio reports that the Chiefs, Steelers, and Commanders are interested in a potential deal for the former first-round pick. Kansas City makes the most sense on paper, as the Chiefs could use another receiver to stretch the field and open up throwing lanes underneath, though I'm skeptical that even Patrick Mahomes could revive his career. The bigger question is whether the Jags will price Thomas based on his floor or his ceiling; that'll decide whether a deal gets done in the first place.

Where could Michael Penix Jr. get traded?

Penix looked good in his return from injury earlier this season, but a disastrous showing of late has the trade rumors heating up around the Falcons' third-year passer. Still, the odds are low that Atlanta would move on this season before truly evaluating what they have in the former top-10 pick.

If the Falcons did decide to move on, the Cowboys are the current market favorite to take a chance on him, though I'm not sure the logic is there with Dak Prescott still firmly installed as the team's franchise quarterback. Dallas has taken a shot on a top draft pick at quarterback for cheap in the past, but I wouldn't expect history to repeat here.

Where could Vita Vea get traded?

Vea’s summer contract dispute is settled after Tampa Bay extended him through 2027, and he subsequently said he wanted to remain a Buccaneer for life. That doesn't mean Vea is immune from trade rumors, though, with the Bucs staring down a losing record entering the trade deadline.

The 49ers and Bears are among the market favorites to land Vea, though both teams recently made splash moves to acquire star defensive tackles, which likely takes them both out of the running. I'd expect Vea to stick around in Tampa Bay, though the team's quarterback woes could force them to wave the white flag early.

Where could Rashid Shaheed get traded?

The Seahawks signed Shaheed to a multi-year deal in March after trading for him during their Super Bowl season, and his ability as a kick returner along with his speed at receiver makes him a tough piece to move with another Super Bowl run still in sight.

Seattle has since added Quenton Nelson and is in the mix for Taylor at running back, so it would seem to be an odd choice to jettison Shaheed along the way. That said, if the 'Hawks can turn their speedy receiver into trade capital and flip that for Taylor, there's a pathway to a deal here — I just wouldn't count on it.

Where could Baker Mayfield get traded?

The Buccaneers just extended Mayfield through 2029 on the eve of the regular season, so it would be rather shocking to see them trade their franchise quarterback just two months later even amid a 3-5 start.

If they do, though, the Steelers remain the top option at Kalshi with Rodgers expected to step away after this season. I can't see either team wanting to make such a dramatic move at the deadline, but we've seen crazier things happen with teams on opposite ends of a contention window.

Where could T.J. Watt get traded?

Watt is still at the top of his game after registering two of the Steelers’ eight sacks in Sunday’s win over the Browns. And with Pittsburgh leading the division behind that dominant defense, it doesn't make a ton of sense on paper to move Watt midseason.

The division-rival Ravens are among the top options in the market, though Lamar Jackson's thumb injury surely puts an end to Baltimore's quest to move serious draft capital for a short-term solution to their pass-rush woes. I wouldn't expect anything to happen here before the deadline.

Where could Shedeur Sanders get traded?

The Browns have a crowded quarterback room, but they are reportedly not shopping their quarterbacks despite Deshaun Watson's relative success in his first season back as the team's full-time starter. That won't stop teams from calling about Sanders after he showed some flashes as a rookie last year before hitting the bench in 2026.

The Eagles are the only team that makes sense to me as a potential Sanders destination with Jalen Hurts likely out for the season. Our NFL expert Dustin Saracini expects Cleveland to hold onto its young passer in his Shedeur Sanders next team odds analysis.

Where could Saquon Barkley get traded?

The Eagles have told Barkley they intend to keep him, and he confirmed after Sunday’s loss that he wants to stay. That comes even with Philadelphia losing six straight games, which doesn't seem to discourage Barkley from wanting to remain with the team he helped lead to a Super Bowl title just two seasons ago.

The other issue with Barkley's trade market is his health: he's battled hamstring and back issues this season, making it tougher for a contender to fork over real draft capital for the aging back. Our NFL expert Jason Logan reaches the same conclusion in his breakdown of the latest Saquon Barkley next team odds: it'd be rather shocking to see him leave Philadelphia this season.

Where could Alec Pierce get traded?

The Colts are in the midst of a firesale, but that doesn't automatically put Pierce on the chopping block. Indianapolis re-signed Pierce this offseason after a 1,003-yard season, locking him down after the speedster led the league in yards per catch in both 2024 and 2025. That's a useful player to retain for whichever quarterback leads the next version of this offense through a rebuild.

Pierce also aggravated his surgically repaired heel in September, so any buyer would need to be comfortable with his recovery as well as the cost. That's likely why his market is essentially flat with Indy as the overwhelming favorite to retain him.

Where could Kayvon Thibodeaux get traded?

The biggest change in Thibodeaux’s situation came when Brian Burns tore his ACL, which forced Thibodeaux and Abdul Carter into more work on the edge. Trading one of those two replacements would leave the Giants trying to repair a problem they already have with the NFC East title firmly in their grasp.

That won't keep teams like the Saints from calling about the former top-five pick, but for now, it seems unlikely that New York would part with its emerging pass-rusher at this deadline given the woes for the other three teams across the division.

Where could Kyle Pitts get traded?

Pitts has seemingly been on the trade block for his entire career, but after the Falcons signed him to a three-year, $54 million extension over the summer, it feels unlikely that we see Pitts joining a new team this season.

If he does move, I'd keep an eye on the Broncos or Chiefs — two teams with title aspirations who need another reliable receiving option to settle an otherwise one-dimensional offense. Given the price it would take to pry Pitts out of Atlanta, though, I'd strongly lean toward him staying put through the deadline.

Where could Josh Sweat get traded?

Sweat has pushed back on a report that he wants a new contract, though his play on the field certainly speaks volumes about his value to a contender ahead of this year's trade deadline. He's also on a multi-year deal that he signed last summer before registering 12 sacks last season and another three sacks so far this year.

The Bears were among the top suitors before trading for Simmons, and I wouldn't totally rule them out if they don't land Mack in a deadline reunion. I'd have my eyes on the Cowboys, too, who saw Sweat's impact firsthand in last week's overtime loss to the Cardinals.

Which NFL players will be traded?

In addition to the individual trade markets above, Kalshi also offers a market on which players will be traded at all, regardless of the landing spot. These contracts cover trades officially processed before Dec. 1, while the NFL trade deadline is Nov. 10:

More NFL next team odds

Kalshi also offers markets on key stars who could be on the move this offseason. Here are a few other markets to watch for players that could be traded or sign with a new team before the 2027 season:

Justin Herbert next team odds

The Chargers’ winless start has put the pressure on the organization to make dramatic moves in a hurry, and there is no bigger domino to fall than trading Herbert, whose cap hit is scheduled to reach over $58 million next year and more than $71 million in 2028.

Herbert's contract also features a no-trade clause, so without further reporting on his desire to move elsewhere, it seems unlikely that Herbert will leave Los Angeles. That's the conclusion that Parker comes to in his Justin Herbert next team odds analysis, though the Vikings do remain an intriguing hypothetical fit if he's moved at the deadline.

Sam LaPorta next team odds

LaPorta’s contract situation has already created uncomfortable feelings in Detroit, but dealing a major receiving threat would create an immediate problem for an offense trying to win now. That doesn't mean the Lions tight end couldn't be on the move this offseason with the Chiefs offering a compelling fit as a potential Travis Kelce replacement.

Saracini expects him to remain in Detroit in his Sam LaPorta next team odds analysis, and that's where I'd lean too despite the public dispute between team and player over his next contract. That said, there's enough smoke here that I wouldn't be surprised to see a divorce before the start of next season.

Tyreek Hill next team odds

Hill hasn't played since suffering a knee injury in September 2025 that kept him sidelined and eventually led to the Dolphins releasing him in February. With so many teams in need of speed at receiver, Hill offers potential game-breaking upside without having to surrender a draft pick to acquire him.

I can't shake the idea of a Chiefs reunion, and I'm frankly surprised Kansas City isn't a bigger favorite in this market given the team's need for offensive help and Hill's familiarity with the system. LaRusic also expects the Chiefs to make a run in his breakdown of the latest Tyreek Hill next team odds, but that still depends on Hill's health and the team's willingness to bring him back after an acrimonious split.

When is the NFL trade deadline?

The 2026 NFL trade deadline is Tuesday, November 10, at 4 p.m. ET. It falls on the Tuesday after Week 9, giving teams one more chance to add (or shed) impact talent at the halfway point of the regular season.

For contenders, the trade deadline offers one final opportunity to shore up weaknesses stemming from the offseason or due to midseason injuries. For sellers, it's the final chance to return value on expiring contracts or veterans who don't fit into the team's long-term plans, though midseason returns typically won't overwhelm the average NFL fan.

How does the NFL trade deadline work?

Teams can exchange players and draft picks, subject to league approval and salary-cap rules. The trading window closes at the deadline and reopens at 4 p.m. ET on March 11, 2027, when the next league year begins. Teams can still add players through free agency and waivers after Nov. 10, so the deadline doesn't shut down every route to a roster upgrade.

Do Kalshi next-team markets settle at the trade deadline?

Not necessarily. The markets in the main table cover qualifying next-team moves before December 1, 2026. Herbert and LaPorta extend to May 1, 2027, while Hill’s market covers moves before December 31, 2026. Some current-team outcomes also include retirement. A free-agent signing and a trade are different transactions, so read each contract’s exact resolution rules before trading.

The team favored to acquire a player can still be much less likely than him staying put. Those are separate outcomes, and the prices in the widgets can change as news arrives.
