The Minnesota Vikings and Cleveland Browns meet in Week 5 on Sunday, October 5, at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, as the NFL’s International Series continues.

While Cleveland is starting rookie quarterback Dillon Gabriel, my Vikings vs. Browns predictions and NFL picks are calling for Minnesota to make life difficult for the inexperienced QB and cover the number Sunday morning.

Vikings vs Browns prediction

Vikings vs Browns Best bet: Vikings -3.5 (-110)

The Cleveland Browns are turning the quarterback reins over to rookie Dillon Gabriel for his first career start against a solid Minnesota Vikings defense at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London in Week 5.

As a result, I’m happy to plug my nose with the Vikings in what projects as a low-scoring game.

Not only do I question Gabriel’s readiness, but this is also the middle of a tough stretch in Cleveland's schedule. The Browns lost 34-10 on the road to the Detroit Lions on Sunday and now head to London before also visiting the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 6.

The Vikings have the luxury of already being in Europe with their full attention on this game ahead of their Week 6 bye.

Of course, the Cleveland pass rush has the potential to leave its mark after the Steelers sacked Vikings quarterback Carson Wentz six times in Week 4. I’m just anticipating Minny head coach Kevin O'Connell and offensive coordinator Wes Phillips to make the necessary adjustments to give Wentz more time and better protection.

Wentz has been solid through two starts, too, with a respectable 7.9 yards per attempt while ranking 10th in completion percentage and 12th in EPA per play.

Plus, Cleveland has an active 3-10 record against the spread dating back to last season.

Vikings vs Browns same-game parlay

The return of Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison paved the way for a monster Week 4 showing from No. 1 wideout Justin Jefferson. Jefferson hauled in 10 of 11 targets for 126 yards for season-high marks across the board, but he still didn’t find the end zone.

With just a single score through four games, Jefferson returns to pay dirt this week.

Turning to the final leg of this same-game parlay, Browns wide receiver Jerry Jeudy has recorded 48 or more receiving yards in three of the first four games of the season after averaging 72.3 yards per contest in 2024.

Look for Jeudy to remain the No. 1 target in the Cleveland aerial attack on Sunday.

Vikings vs Browns SGP

  • Vikings -3.5

  • Jerry Jeudy Over 47.5 receiving yards
