Two of the best teams in the NFL meet in the Mile High City today when the Green Bay Packers visit the Denver Broncos. CBS has the call at 4:25 p.m. ET.

My Packers vs. Broncos predictions and NFL picks expect Green Bay to leave The Centennial State victorious on Sunday, December 14.

Packers vs Broncos prediction

Packers vs Broncos Best bet: Packers moneyline (-125)

Quarterback play is the No. 1 reason I’m backing the Green Bay Packers to win on the road against the Denver Broncos at Empower Field at Mile High in Week 15.

Packers QB Jordan Love paced the NFL in EPA + CPOE composite while throwing for the second most air yards during a three-game sweep of the NFC North, and Green Bay also ranks higher than Denver in DVOA.

Add the Pack pacing the league in EPA per play while playing a considerably more difficult schedule than the Broncos, and I’m confident in Green Bay leaving The Centennial State with a win.

Denver has played the fifth easiest schedule per PFF and second-easiest by DVOA, after all.

Returning to the QB comparison, Broncos signal caller Bo Nix ranks 18th in EPA + CPOE composite, and his 6.3 yards per attempt and 63.2 completion percentage are both also below-average marks.

Of course, the Green Bay defense has also allowed the fifth-fewest yards per play and ranks ninth in defensive DVOA, and the Packers generate pressure at a respectable 12th-highest clip despite blitzing at the second-lowest rate.

Packers vs Broncos same-game parlay

Even with a pair of solid defenses, I’m expecting both the Packers and Broncos to put points on the board Sunday.

They’ve both hit the Over in consecutive games, and in addition to the highlighted strength of the Love-led Packers on offense, Nix also has the Broncos ranking above average in offensive DVOA, points per game, and both EPA and yards per play.

Green Bay wideout Jayden Reed is a big-play threat as a receiver and rusher, and he’s found the end zone 18 times through 36 career games.

Additionally, while the Broncos have only allowed five touchdowns to opposing wide receivers, three of those scores have come in the past two weeks with Denver dipping to 18th in pass defense DVOA through the two-game stretch after ranking third across the first 12 weeks of the year.

Our big-ticket SGP: Harvey gets in on the fun

Broncos back RJ Harvey has found the end zone in four of the past six games for seven total touchdowns, and he’s also piled up a healthy 15 carries and five targets in the red zone during the stretch.

Packers vs Broncos game predictions

Packers vs Broncos moneyline prediction

I’m obviously backing the Pack, and I think they’re a more complete team on offense with the defensive gap between the two teams far smaller. Additionally, the Broncos couldn’t pull away from the lowly Washington Commanders and Las Vegas Raiders the past two weeks, while the Packers just swept a tough stretch of three consecutive divisional opponents.

Packers vs Broncos spread prediction

This spread is where things are tricky because I’m anticipating a close game, and the Broncos have won 10 straight, after all. There’s a strong case for taking the points with Denver, and I particularly think the Broncos are an excellent leg for six-point teasers with the spread moving through multiple key numbers to +8.5.

Packers vs Broncos Over/Under prediction

As noted, I think this total is just a touch short. Both defenses are excellent, but there are no weather concerns, and the Broncos are no slouches on offense with above-average ranks in in offensive DVOA, points per game, and both EPA and yards per play.
