Panthers touchdown pick: Chuba Hubbard

A spanking of epic proportions forced the Carolina Panthers to abandon the run in Week 7 vs. Tampa Bay, but I'm willing to back Chuba Hubbard returning to the end zone at 55% or better.

Carolina's RB1 ran 48 times in Weeks 4 and 6 combined, working for 222 yards and three scores. I see the Panthers put Chuba back on a similar workload against a defense that gives up 115 rushing yards per game.

Once Carolina reaches the end zone, Hubbard is their clear top option. The Canadian has 11 carries inside the 20, eight inside the 10, and four inside the five. No other active Carolina RB has more than one carry inside the 20, and none have touched inside the 10.

The Panthers are averaging 26.5 points per game, and they'll return to form after a hiccup in Tampa Bay. Hubbard will help make that happen.

Packers touchdown pick: Tucker Kraft

Tucker Kraft is a key piece of the Green Bay Packers' offensive puzzle, and the time he spends on the field suggests he should have more than two TDs this season. That's why I'm backing him to score up to 42%.

Kraft has had at least five targets in all but one game this season and has caught 20 of the last 26 balls that have gone his way over the last month.

Despite playing with Matthew Golden and Christian Watson, Kraft sits second on the team in red zone targets with eight — trailing Golden's 11 — but they both have the same number of catches with six.

Golden also hasn't participated in practice on Monday or the walkthrough Tuesday due to shoulder and foot injuries, and if he isn't ready to go, that could be big for the Packers' TE.

First touchdown scorer pick: Christian Watson

One of these days I'll hit a first touchdown scorer bet, and I'm confident that happens this week.

Green Bay has found paydirt first in six of its seven games, and Christian Watson has been responsible for three of them.

Watson's 6-foot-4 frame makes him an elite target for Jordan Love, and he can win those 50/50 balls on the deep shots we know his QB loves to take. At 10%, I see value in backing Watson to open the scoring for the fourth time this season.

Note: Golden scored the first TD in two other games, and his absence would give us an even bigger boost.

Long-shot touchdown pick: MarShawn Lloyd

Yeah yeah, I know that scumbag is back in the lineup for Green Bay, but this is called a long shot for a reason. MarShawn Lloyd played only 36% of snaps last week, but Jacobs had only five more carries than the backup RB.

Calling the Panthers' run defense softer than puppy shit would be an understatement, with them coughing up over 150 yards per game in the trenches.

I don't see GB giving Jacobs his usual 20-25 carry workload in just his second week, and Lloyd could get enough touches to have a legit shot at finding paydirt. It's not like we've never seen an RB2 come in and steal a touchdown...

Panthers vs Packers touchdown combo

Not going to get fancy with this combo. I'm taking the two picks I am most confident in and combining them for a bigger payout.

Hubbard's fresh legs should come in handy on a short week, while Kraft continues to have one of the most consistent target shares among Packers' players.
