I was already planning to take Purdue +8.5, so I'm thrilled to have gotten another point and will back this to 54%.
Purdue's offense is at its best when it can run the football, allowing Ryan Browne to operate off play-action. The Boilermakers are set up perfectly to do just that against a Penn State defense ranked 86th in EPA per rush.
On the other side, fans are calling for a change at quarterback, while the Nittany Lions offense ranks 106th in rushing success and 113th in EPA per rush.
That sets up a game script in which the Penn State defense will struggle to get stops, while the offense won't sustain enough drives to win by double digits.
