The New York Giants are 61% favorites when they square off with the Miami Dolphins in the second preseason game for both teams, and it could be a fiery affair after the teams had a fight-filled practice together earlier this week.
Starters will likely be scarce, and roster spots are up for grabs, so look for plenty of hitting in a physical game.
New York had the edge in the joint practices on both sides of the ball, which is why my Giants vs. Dolphins predictions and NFL picks call for the G-Men to get a cover as a road favorite.

TOP PICK
Who will win Giants vs Dolphins: Giants -3.5
The New York Giants' moneyline doesn't give us the odds we were hoping for from this game, so my best bet is to lay the 3.5 points. The Miami Dolphins managed just one touchdown in the preseason opener against a defense that didn't look as fierce as New York's defense did in the joint practices.
The Giants also didn't light up the scoreboard in their preseason opener, and the offense didn't even run any play action against the Vikings. This week, the team has gone deeper into the offense and hit several big plays against Miami in practice. Look for New York to win comfortably.
Giants vs Dolphins Over/Under pick: Under 35.5
Dolphins quarterback Malik Willis is the NFL's least experienced projected opening day starter, and he wasn't fooling the Giants at all in practice. He got hammered every time he kept the ball on a play-fake.
Giants edge rusher Brian Burns had a reported six sacks in the practice session. Starters may not play much in this game, but that's fine: backup Chauncey Golston had three.
The Giants' offense looked good when the first team was on the field in practice, but by the end of the game, things could get shaky.
Newly signed running back Najee Harris and quarterback Jake Haener had their first snaps with the team this week and could be the ones with the ball in their hands down the stretch.

The Giants struggled with the heat in the joint practice, and temps should be at 90 for kickoff Saturday afternoon, staying in the high 80s through the end of the game, with humidity at 66%.
