An absolutely jam-packed Halloween slate means we're back with our NHL moneyline picks for Saturday, Oct. 31.
This 10-game slate features everything from Original Six rivalries such as the Blackhawks vs. Bruins to valuable cross-conference matchups like the Senators vs. Sharks. Of course, we're making our NHL picks for all 10 games.
I correctly picked two of three winners last night, including a clever underdog choice in the New Jersey Devils. How can we do today with this loaded schedule?

Expert NHL moneyline picks: Oct. 31
Blackhawks vs Bruins pick:
Bruins
The Boston Bruins lead the NHL with a 66.67% goals share at 5-on-5, and rank 10th in expected goals share at 5-on-5 (53.47%).
Meanwhile, the Chicago Blackhawks rank 30th in both categories, 29th in expected goals for, and 29th in expected goals against. They're an ugly 4-9-0 and sport the league's worst power play.
Blues vs Red Wings pick:
Red Wings
The Detroit Red Wings have suddenly won three of their last four in the wake of the Dylan Larkin suspension.
They've won four of the last six meetings against the St. Louis Blues, including both last season. The Blues have been shut out in two of their last three games and are just 2-4-0 on the road this season.
Lightning vs Predators pick:
Lightning
It's unclear as to why Nikita Kucherov wants to leave a Tampa Bay Lightning team that ranks second in the NHL in expected goals against at 5-on-5 (21.68).
They'll face a Nashville Predators squad that ranks 23rd in goals against, 24th in shots on goal, and has lost four of its last five games.
Oilers vs Islanders pick:
Oilers
The New York Islanders and Edmonton Oilers rank 11th and 12th in 5-on-5 goals share, respectively.
However, the Isles fall to 23rd in all-situations expected goals share (46.84%), while the Oilers' league-leading offense and power play bring them up to 10th (56.7%). Edmonton has just one regulation loss in its last six games, with four wins.
Sabres vs Kings pick:
Sabres
The Los Angeles Kings are 31st in expected goals for at 5-on-5 (21.52), 30th in all situations (36.14), and 26th in all-situations goals share (44.74%).
The Buffalo Sabres have won two straight road games and have won three straight against the Kings. Although Buffalo's power play has struggled (T-28th), the Kings have the league's worst penalty kill (64.9%).
Senators vs Sharks pick:
Sharks
Linus Ullmark has anxiously watched his Ottawa Senators allow four-plus goals in four straight games while he's been sidelined.
Samuel Ersson has yet to win a game this season (0-3-1), and a 10th-ranked San Jose Sharks power play can take advantage of the 19th-ranked penalty-killing team that takes the second-most penalties per game.
Penguins vs Canadiens pick:
Canadiens
The red-hot Montreal Canadiens somehow swept their four-game road trip without Nick Suzuki and Ivan Demidov.
They turn to the equally hot Jacob Fowler (1.54 GAA and .942 SV%) against a Pittsburgh Penguins squad that is just 1-5-1 on the road and has lost its last six away games.
Maple Leafs vs Canucks pick:
Maple Leafs
The Vancouver Canucks rank third in shooting percentage, but their league-worst 21.1 shots per game mean they're still just 18th in goals. They allow the most goals per game (4.53), shots per game (32.2), and have lost nine of their last 10 games.
Meanwhile, the Toronto Maple Leafs have won four of their last six, scoring four or more in four of their last five.
Blue Jackets vs Stars pick:
Stars
The Columbus Blue Jackets have just one road win this season and face the Dallas Stars, who have won three of their last five.
The NHL's best defense in terms of goals against per game (2.23) and shots against per game (22.1) takes on a Jackets squad that ranks 29th in goals, T-27th in shooting percentage, and 25th in shots on goal.
This game also features the Stars' league-best penalty kill (93.5%) against the Jackets' 30th-ranked power play (13.3%).
Flames vs Avalanche pick:
Avalanche
Props to the Calgary Flames for winning five of their last six games (four of them as underdogs).
Unfortunately for them, they're starting seventh-round pick Arsenii Sergeev, who has just one game of NHL experience. He'll face a Colorado Avalanche behemoth that ranks second in the NHL in goals (4.15).
The Avs are third in 5-on-5 goals share (63.24%), while the Flames rank 31st (35.19%).
Today's NHL moneyline combo
This all-Canadian combo sees the NHL's best offense in Edmonton, a red-hot Habs squad with an even-hotter goaltender, and a Leafs team in an incredibly favorable matchup all emerging victorious.
