In a potential high-scoring tilt, we're going to ride with a total play in our Maple Leafs vs. Canucks predictions.
The Toronto Maple Leafs continue their West Coast trip against the Vancouver Canucks as 64% favorites at Novig, with plenty of offense expected at Rogers Arena. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m. ET.
Tap into my Halloween NHL picks for Saturday, Oct. 31, and let's build that bankroll.
TOP PICK
Maple Leafs vs Canucks prediction: Over 6.5
Anthony Stolarz and Kevin Lankinen might be seeing ghosts this Halloween, because it's about to be a nightmare in between the posts on Saturday Night Hockey.
Lankinen's 6.18 goals-against average, .812 save percentage, and -12.1 goals saved above expected will be put to the test against a Toronto Maple Leafs team that ranks fifth in goals and boasts a power play clicking at 31% efficiency.
It's not much better for the team in front of him, either, as the Vancouver Canucks have a penalty kill operating at just 65%.
We might only need one or two goals from Vancouver to push this one Over the total.
Playable to 57%.
Note: Leevi Merilainen ultimately got the start, but that doesn't move the needle for us. We're all systems go.

Maple Leafs vs Canucks combo
A 4.45x combo this juicy will taste even better than Halloween candy when it cashes.
The Leafs hold a significant advantage on special teams, with their fifth-ranked power play facing the NHL's 30th-ranked penalty kill. That mismatch could be the difference-maker, creating opportunities for Toronto to pile up goals and come away with the win.
It also helps that the Canucks rank dead last in the NHL in expected goals against. With Gavin McKenna now skating alongside Auston Matthews on the top line and on the first power-play unit, expect him to find the scoresheet once or twice in this one.

- Gavin McKenna 1+ assist
Maple Leafs vs Canucks player prop: Gavin McKenna 1+ assist
The instant chemistry between McKenna and Matthews was on full display against Seattle on Wednesday, with the rookie becoming the youngest Leaf in franchise history to record three points in a single game. Not bad.
With Kirill Marchenko sidelined, expect the 18-year-old to capitalize on his opportunity once again against a Cancucks team incapable of keeping the puck out of the net.
Maple Leafs vs Canucks goal scorer: Auston Matthews
If Matthews is going to continue to feast, we're going to continue to cash alongside him with a full belly. We're up close to five units backing the star center, and in a game that's ready to feature a ton of offense, he'll be at the center of it.
Matthews has already registered 35 medium-danger shot attempts this season, ranking third in the NHL. With a release as lethal as his, give him an inch of space, and he'll make you pay.
