The New York Giants will look to win their second straight when they hit the Caesars Superdome to face the 0-4 New Orleans Saints on Sunday, October 5.
My Giants vs. Saints predictions and top NFL picks call for New York to easily pull off the road victory in the Big Easy in Week 5.
Giants vs Saints prediction
Giants vs Saints Best bet: Giants moneyline (+104)
The New York Giants finally flipped the script in Week 4 with an upset win over the Chargers, and I’m expecting the G-Men to parlay the momentum into a road victory over the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.
New York has the personnel on defense to limit the New Orleans offense, and in particular, I expect the Giants to have success generating pressure and giving Saints quarterback Spencer Rattler fits behind a suspect offensive line.
The Saints rank 29th in pass block win rate and 21st in PFF pass block grade, so with the G-Men checking in at 13th in pass rush win rate and fifth in PFF pass rush grade, this should prove to be a mismatch in the trenches.
New York has been gashed by the run through four weeks, but a quick peek behind the curtain showcases inflated numbers because of multiple game-breaking rushes surrendered — I don’t see that in the cards for the Saints this week.
New Orleans is a notable downtick in class on both sides of the ball, and the Saints also send out an exploitable defense that’s allowed the sixth-highest EPA per play while ranking 30th in defensive DVOA and 27th in PFF defense grade.
Plus, the Saints sport an active 3-17 record dating back to last season, including going just 5-15 against the spread.
Giants vs Saints same-game parlay
With Giants No. 1 wide receiver Malik Nabers finished for the season after tearing his ACL last week, Wan'Dale Robinson will become a go-to target for New York quarterback Jaxson Dart.
Robinson flashed to start the season with 14 receptions for 238 yards through the first two weeks of the season. While he was quiet against tough defenses the past two games, this Saints pass defense has been a dream matchup while allowing the third-highest yards per target to opposing wide receivers.
Turning to the final leg of this SGP, I’m expecting New York to generate pressure on Rattler early and often on Sunday. I’m also anticipating the second-year quarterback to use his mobility to pick up a chunk run or two and clear this modest total.
Of course, Rattler has also rushed for 16+ yards in six of his 10 career starts with an excellent 7.3 yards per attempt.

Our big-ticket SGP: Wideouts shine at Caesars
The Giants have already allowed six wide receivers to record 55 or more receiving yards, so I like Saints No. 1 wideout Chris Olave to follow suit and hit this Over with his monster 30.3% target share through four weeks.
