Minnesota visits No. 4 Indiana on Saturday, Oct. 31, at Memorial Stadium in Bloomington.

The Hoosiers needed overtime to beat the Wolverines last weekend, but the market is still showing them plenty of respect in Week 9, with Indiana favored by 20.5 points over Minnesota.

My Minnesota vs. Indiana prediction and college football picks have the Hoosiers earning a comfortable victory in front of their home fans on Halloween.

 TOP PICK
Who will win Minnesota vs Indiana: Indiana -20.5

Playable to 54%.

Minnesota defeated No. 15 Iowa last weekend, but the Golden Gophers were outgained by 79 yards and managed just 11 first downs. They went a ghastly 2-for-14 on third down but benefited from four Iowa turnovers, allowing them to escape with an unlikely win.

This weekend marks Minnesota's third road game of the 2026 season. So far, the Golden Gophers have lost 41-13 to unranked Purdue and narrowly defeated unranked Washington 27-24.

Pro Football has Indiana graded as the sixth-best team in the country through eight weeks. Minnesota ranks 47th, but the Golden Gophers have been far worse on the road than at home this fall.

Don't be surprised if this Big Ten showdown turns into a blowout.

Minnesota vs Indiana Over/Under pick: Over 41.5

Playable to 52%.

In two road games this fall, Minnesota allowed Purdue 27 first downs and 464 yards of total offense and Washington 16 first downs and 279 yards of total offense.

Purdue scored 41 points, its most against an FBS opponent in 2026. Washington scored 24 points, matching its output against 1-7 SU Washington State earlier in the season and exceeding its total against 2-5 SU Utah State.

The Golden Gophers rank 101st in rushing success rate allowed over their last four games. If Indiana can establish its ground game early, that should give its passing attack more room to operate against an underwhelming Minnesota secondary.

Minnesota vs Indiana combo

Playable to 49%.

Minnesota's offense ranks 135th in rushing success rate over its last four games, meaning the Golden Gophers will likely have to replace some of their ground attack with short passes. If Minnesota is forced into a pass-heavy game script, that means less clock running and more opportunities for chunk plays and quick scores.

The Hoosiers should have plenty of success moving the football against the Golden Gophers. These two plays are correlated and pair well together for Saturday.
