NL Central rivals clash this afternoon as the St. Louis Cardinals and Milwaukee Brewers wrap up a three-game set at American Family Field.

My Cardinals vs. Brewers predictions are targeting Milwaukee to bring out the brooms as -144 favorites in the series finale against Dustin May.

Read more in my MLB picks for Wednesday, May 26.

Who will win Cardinals vs Brewers today: Brewers moneyline (-146)

The Milwaukee Brewers have looked dominant in this series, giving up just one run across the first two games while scoring 11 times. This is one of the top offenses in the big leagues, averaging 4.9 runs per contest. That ranks fourth.

The Brew Crew will face St. Louis Cardinals righty Dustin May in the rubber match, who has a 5.00 ERA. He's been getting whacked on the road this season, compiling a 5.23 ERA, and he comes up against a red-hot Brewers lineup.

Milwaukee has yet to announce who will start, but it'll likely be an opener. That's definitely not a bad thing, considering their bullpen owns a 3.39 ERA. The Brewers have now won four of their last six meetings with the Cards, as well.

Covers COVERS INTEL: Opponents have a .340 BABIP against May this season, which is bad news against a contact-heavy Brewers lineup, and great for our Milwaukee moneyline prediction.

Cardinals vs Brewers Over/Under pick: Under 8.5 (-115)

While May has been far from elite, he's shown improvements lately. The right-hander has given up more than three earned runs just once across his previous eight appearances. I do believe the Brewers will give May some trouble, but he'll battle.

As previously mentioned, Milwaukee's pen is lights out, and the Cardinals aren't scoring many runs at all lately. Six of the last seven in this matchup have cashed the Under in total runs.

You may see the Brew Crew do most of the offensive damage here, while their pitching staff will continue to add to St. Louis' troubles at the plate.
