The Milwaukee Brewers hit the road to face the Atlanta Braves tonight, with ace Jacob Misiorowski on the hill.

My Brewers vs. Braves predictions are targeting Milwaukee to take the series opener behind their flamethrowing ace.

Read more in my MLB picks for Friday, June 19.

Who will win Brewers vs Braves today: Brewers -1.5 (+101)

The Milwaukee Brewers send Jacob Misiorowski to the mound tonight, and the right-hander has been absolutely dominant this season. He owns a sparkling 1.35 ERA and 1.68 FIP, and his recent numbers are somehow even better.

Across his last two starts, Misiorowski has posted a mind-boggling 0.97 FIP while striking out 12.69 hitters per nine innings against just 1.69 walks per nine. He hasn't allowed an earned run in three consecutive starts and has limited opponents to a 28.6% hard-hit rate over the last month.

On the other side, the Atlanta Braves counter with Martin Perez, who has pitched well lately, posting a 2.41 xERA over his previous two appearances. I don't expect Milwaukee to erupt offensively, but the Brewers enter in good form, carrying a 123 wRC+ and 38.6% hard-hit rate over their last six games.

I'll play this pick up to -130.

Covers COVERS INTEL: Misiorowski owns a 3.8% BB rate over his last four starts compared to a 6.7% walk rate overall this season. He's pounding the strike zone and consistently missing bats.

Brewers vs Braves Over/Under pick: Under 7.5 runs (+101)

All the value sits in the Under here, despite a modest total of 7.5. Misiorowski is flawless lately, and he's pitched into the seventh inning or later in three straight outings, and he even tossed a complete-game shutout on June 12 against the Philadelphia Phillies.

The Brew Crew bullpen won't have many innings to hold things down, but they're in respectable shape, sporting a 3.86 FIP over the last week and limiting opponents to a mere 29.8% hard-hit rate

As for the Braves relievers, they may be a bit busier. While I believe Perez keeps Milwaukee to two or three runs, he rarely pitches past the fifth. However, Atlanta's pen has a 2.66 ERA over their last 23.2 innings, with a mere hard-hit rate of 31.7%

Pitching will shine tonight. I'll play this pick up to -120.

Brewers vs Braves weather

Rain could be a factor at Truist Park tonight. Forecasts call for showers, with temperatures around 84°F and humidity near 85%. Winds are expected to blow from the WNW at 10 mph, which could slightly help with carry, but the rain risk is the bigger weather note.
