Second-year RB TreVeyon Henderson is questionable after missing practice with a bum ankle. That news has set Rhamondre Stevenson props on fire, with his carries, yards and TD markets making major moves the past 48 hours. While the inflated totals on those props may be too much, I still like Stevenson to score a touchdown in Week 1. He was a beast in the red zone at the end of last season, not only running it in but also catching passes for six points. He also snagged a 7-yard toss for a TD versus Seattle in the Super Bowl. His projections sit as high as a 53% shot at scoring a TD in Week 1 and even if Henderson does play, Stevenson is still the top option in the RZ.

One aspect of Darnold's game I appreciate is his sneaky speed. He’s a lot faster than you think and we’ve seen Darnold haul ass when need be, including five carries for 14 yards in SBLX. I expect there to be some hiccups in the Seahawks’ playbook, given Klint Kubiak is gone and new OC Brian Fleury is calling the shots. Seattle’s rushing attack isn’t what it was, leaving Darnold to shoulder the load. If Fleury can’t get the ground game going, the Patriots will bring the heat and force Darnold to run for his life. His Week 1 projections sit around 10 rushing yards on Wednesday.

Los Angeles standout WR Puka Nacua is expected to make the in-and-out trip to Australia in Week 1. That’s bad news for new 49ers defensive coordinator Raheem Morris. San Francisco leaned toward more zone coverage in 2025 and will almost exclusively go zone under Morris. The 6-foot-2 Nacua rates out among the top WRs versus zone at PFF and knocked Morris’ former club, Atlanta, for a touchdown at the end of last season while also scoring in both matchup with the Niners. The uncertainty around his status and a lingering hip injury has tempered Nacua’s touchdown market, but player models sit as high as 53% for him to strike in Melbourne on Thursday night/Friday morning.

Corum turned heads with his workouts and efforts this summer and drew a heavier workload at the end of 2025, watching his involvement spike in December and beyond. Corum carried the ball for 40+ rushing yards in seven of his final nine games, including two of three postseason outings. His projections for Week 1’s trip Down Under sit as high as 51 yards, with my forecast calling for 47+ gains on the ground. Thursday’s neutral-site game has L.A. laying more than a field goal, setting up a run-positive game script in the second half. The Rams tend to lean into Corum in the final 30 minutes, with the potential for a larger split in carries with RB1 Kyren Williams.

Lamar Jackson faces a blast from AFC North past when he and the Ravens take on the Colts and DC Lou Anarumo in Week 1. During his tenue with Cincinnati, Anarumo couldn’t slow down Jackson consistently and the Ravens QB chewed up his blitz-heavy schemes. Jackson recorded several multi-TD passing games versus those Bengals teams and constantly ranks out among the best QBs vs. blitz in the NFL. New Baltimore OC Declan Doyle got to work against two blitz-centric foes in joint practices this summer – Washington and Minnesota – ironing out the wrinkles against similar pressure before this Week 1 outing. I like Lamar to make Indy pay with two or more passing TDs.

At a massive 30.36 seconds per snap, the Baltimore Ravens offense rates as the 3rd-most sluggish paced in football (adjusted for context) last year.. This game will be played in a dome—meaning no wind, increased pass volume, increased touchdown potential, and better passing efficiency.. Opposing teams have averaged 35.8 pass attempts per game against the Steelers defense last year: 5th-most in the league.. In this game, Drake London is predicted by the projection model to position himself in the 97th percentile among wideouts with 9.5 targets.. The Cleveland Browns enter the year with massive questions on offense, with PFF rating them dead last in its offensive power rankings, though they remain solid on defense. The Cleveland Browns were arguably the NFL's worst offensive team last season and will struggle to get to opposing quarterbacks without Myles Garrett around. That plays into the hands of Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence, who struggled under pressure but had a 101.2 passer rating on clean plays last season.

I'm taking the Jaguars to cover at up to 8.5 points.

The Texans were active in the offseason, bolstering their dog poo O-line and adding a steady rushing threat in David Montgomery. QB C.J. Given their underlying strategic approach and game dynamics, the Bills are expected by the projection model to run 65.6 offensive plays in this game: the 6th-highest number among all teams this week.. Buffalo's passing stats last year may be artificially too low (and rushing stats propped up a bit) in light of playing the most "bad weather" (rain, snow, or 15+ mph wind) games in football. The blitz-heavy Vikings will face a Packers offensive line with question marks beside starters Aaron Banks (knee) and Zach Bako-Bewele (knee), and Green Bay quarterback Jordan Love dipped to a pedestrian 41.6 completion percentage for 5.0 yards per target when pressured last season. Playing without key starters Micah Parsons (knee) and Josh Jacobs (Reserve-CEL) will aslo be a huge hit to the Packers. The Packers are in survival mode for the first month, missing DE Micah Parsons and now likely playing without RB Josh Jacobs for the immediate future. Green Bay’s run game is really lacking punch, making this offense one-dimensional versus the blitz-heavy attack of the Vikings. Minnesota’s offense gets a shot in the arm with Kyler Murray at QB, who has plenty of experience playing against Jonathan Gannon’s schemes in practice. Gannon was Murray’s head coach in Arizona for three years and is the new DC in Green Bay. Murray’s accuracy and elite receiving corps can slice and dice a passive Packers defense missing pass pressure.

The Dallas offense has oodles of continuity after averaging 27.7 points per game last season, and the offseason commitment to bringing in talent on the defensive side of the ball will provide an upgrade to a stop unit that allowed the third-most yards and most points per game.  I also anticipate this game closing with Dallas as at least a -3 favorite ahead of Sunday Night Football.

New Giants coach John Harbaugh blasted his team’s pass protection after QB1 Jaxson Dart was sent to the medical tent in the team’s exhibition opener (Dart was cleared of any injury). He’ll need to tighten the bolts before facing Dallas on SNF in Week 1. The Cowboys ranked tops in pressure on passers last season, leading to the No. 1 hurry rate and the second most QB hits (also allowed third most rushing yards to QBs). As a dangerous dual-threat, Dart will see his number called plenty of times in this revamped Ravens-inspired offense and will pick up bonus rushing yards as he scrambles away from pressure.

Distractions in sports tend to be overrated, but the Kansas City Chiefs have A LOT going on headed into the new season. It's fair to question what version of Patrick Mahomes we'll get in Week 1 after tearing his ACL and LCL late last season. The fact that he's coming of a bad season (by his standards) and will be playing one of the league's top defenses adds to those concerns. Denver is coming off a season where they went 5-1 ATS as an underdog. Expect them to be ready to compete and keep this game within the number against a Chiefs team that could need time to find its footing.

Patrick Mahomes is trending toward playing in Week 1 after suffering an ACL injury last season. And the schedule makers did the best they could to get No. 15 back on the field, giving him an extra day of rest. He likely won't be the full 100% version of Mahomes, however, and the Denver Broncos defense remains among the elite under coordinator Vance Joseph, especially against the pass. The Broncos have done an excellent job shutting down Mahomes the past two seasons, and that respect shows in this sub-44 total.

For every matchup in an NFL season, our NFL computer produces selections for a variety of different betting angles. Our computer picks are based on a proprietary algorithm that values each team in the current week to produce moneyline, spread, and point total selections.

The table above, below the game picks, tracks our NFL computer's results over the last 100 games, outlining the record and profit for selections, based on $100 unit size. We track the profit based on both opening and closing lines for every matchup.

How to Use NFL Computer Picks

The easiest way to utilize our computer picks is to simply follow our selections for every matchup, what you'd call ailing the computer." But there are other ways to utilize our NFL computer picks, as well.

You can use our NFL computer as a jumping-off point to do more research into specific lines, cross-referencing with expert picks, which can be found above the selections for some matchups, recent NFL betting trends, and more.

As well, you can gauge the confidence of the matchup. The larger the projected score, the more confident the computer is in a specific pick.

Or, if you want to implement a system, betting only on underdogs, for example, you can look for matchups in which our computer likes the underdog to inform which picks you're going to hone in on for a given week.

We have these computer picks for every sport you're looking to wager on, as well:

Free Computer Picks by Odds Shark

Moneyline

NFL moneyline picks are the simplest way to get in on the NFL action. All you have to do is simply bet on which team you think will win the game.

For moneyline picks, the favorite is represented with a minus sign (-) in front of the odds, while the underdog has a plus (+). However, you don't get the same profit for picking an underdog compared to a favorite. If the favored team is -120, a $100 bet on them would pay out $80 in profit and $180 total, if they win the game. The underdog winning at +150 would pay out a $150 profit, $250 total.

We have a complete breakdown of how to read NFL moneyline odds for these NFL computer picks.

Spread

While moneyline picks are the simplest, picking NFL games against the spread is probably the most common wager for regular NFL bettors.

To bet an NFL spread, you wager on whether a team will win by a certain number of points or more or if they'll lose by fewer points than the spread. For example, if the spread is -6.5 for the New England Patriots, you would win the bet if they win the game by 7 points or more. Or if a team is +6.5, you're betting on if they'll win outright or lose by fewer than 6.5 points.

There is a correlation between moneyline odds and the spread, as books set these lines based on the same information.

You can read more about NFL spreads here.

Totals (Over/Under)

If you aren’t entirely sold on which NFL team will win or cover in an NFL game, you can still use our NFL computer picks to bet on the point total.

As opposed to taking a side, in total or Over/Under betting, you wager on whether both NFL teams will combine for a final score of more than (Over) or less than (Under) the total number of points set by oddsmakers.

The computer picks, and your handicapping of totals is more about how you think both teams will score points, not which team has the edge to win.
