The Edmonton Oilers are 5-1 at home with a +13 goal differential in the playoffs, and their best players are firing on all cylinders.
The Dallas Stars have depth, but they don’t have the same level of dynamic star power — up front or on defense — to compete with Edmonton.

My Stars vs Oilers pick: Connor McDavid Over 1.5 points (-115 at BET99)
Connor McDavid is a man possessed. He has produced 22 points through 14 playoff games, which is a higher per-game pace than he posted during the regular season.
That is remarkable, especially considering the level of competition he’s facing. The Los Angeles Kings, Vegas Golden Knights, and now Stars were all Top-6 teams at limiting goals in the regular season, with two cracking the Top 3.
He’s facing elite teams at keeping the puck out every single night yet piling up the points with little resistance.
McDavid has done his best work on home ice, recording multiple points in four of six games in Edmonton, tallying 11 total points. That’s just under two per game.
He feasted on the Stars in Game 3, scoring his first two goals of the series while being on the ice for three Edmonton markers.
The Oilers generated 25 shot attempts with McDavid on the ice across all situations. Nobody on the Oilers bested that mark.
One factor that no doubt helped McDavid was less time against Miro Heiskanen. McDavid logged almost 17 minutes at 5-on-5 yet shared the ice with Heiskanen for just over six of them.
Kris Knoblauch kept his captain away from Heiskanen, one of the best defenders in the sport, and McDavid made the most of it.
With the Oilers possessing the last change again in Game 4, it’ll be difficult for the Stars to get the personnel they want on the ice against the league’s most dangerous player.
Expect 97 to take advantage once again.

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins had a disappointing regular season but he has made up for it during this playoff run.
RNH has 16 points through 14 games and has hit the scoresheet in 10 of his last 12. He’s at the peak of his powers, having produced multi-point performances in all three games against the Stars.
He is skating on the top line at 5-on-5 and playing a key role on the No. 1 power-play unit. If McDavid is to record multiple points, there’s a good chance RNH can grab at least one given how frequently they share the ice.
It’s a similar story for Evan Bouchard. The elite offensive defenseman plays behind McDavid a lot at evens and quarterbacks a lethal power play.
He has produced five points in this series and 17 points through 14 games in the playoffs.
