Opening line

Opening line

This neutral-site AFC West war opened with Kansas City as a 3-point favorite in Brazil. The spread made a brief stop at KC -3.5, which drew immediate buyback on the Chargers as underdogs. That erased the hook and has the market sitting at a juiced -3 for the Chiefs.

Opening line

The opening line was Arizona -3.5 on the road, but when Derek Carr called it quits, the spread jumped to -5.5. That’s taken action on the Cardinals, pushing the line through the key number of six and to as high as -6.5. The total dipped from 43.5 to 42.5 points.

Mike Evans

Opening line

Tampa Bay opened -2.5 on the road at Atlanta. There have been bites off that spread during the offseason, slipping this line to Bucs -1.5. But as we get closer to kickoff, money likes the road chalk and we’re seeing Tampa Bay back to -2.5. This total has dropped from as high as 48.5 to 46.5 O/U.

Opening line

Washington opened as a 7.5-point home favorite over the Giants in Week 1. New York has received some sharper opinions in the offseason, knocking this spread through key numbers all summer. The Giants are down to -6 at most shops with some showing -5.5 as we head into Week 1.

Opening line

Cincinnati’s slow starts had bookies playing it cool with this Week 1 AFC North game, opening the Bengals as 4.5-point faves. Cleveland’s quarterback situation soured early money, sending this spread as high as -6 before settling in at Cincy -5.5 on the road. The total opened at 44.5 points and has jumped a full FG to 47.5 O/U.

Steelers vs Jets odds (Sunday, 1:00 p.m. ET, CBS)

Aaron Rodgers

Opening line

Pittsburgh opened between -2.5 and -3 at most books in the spring, with the intention Aaron Rodgers would be the QB for Week 1. The veteran passer officially signed on in June, knocking this spread to -3.5. However, since then, the line has slowly crept back down and sits short of a field goal at some shops. The total opened at 41.5 and shriveled to as low as 37.5 this offseason.

Jonathan Taylor

Opening line

The Colts opened at -1.5 vs. Miami in Week 1, and the decision to start Daniel Jones over Anthony Richardson actually moved the spread to Indy -2.5. That hasn’t lasted, as money on the Dolphins dropped this line back to -1.5 and as short as -1 at some shops heading into game week.

Titans vs Broncos odds (Sunday, 4:05 p.m. ET, FOX)

Patrick Surtain II

Opening line

Denver opened as a 7.5-point home favorite to Tennessee, and that spread has been up and down all summer, soaring to -8.5 before buyback down to the original post. Most books are dealing the Broncos as 8-point chalk, giving rookie QB Cam Ward a “Welcome to the Pros” matchup.

Brock Purdy

Opening line

San Francisco left a bad taste in the mouths of bettors in 2024 and opened as a 1.5-point favorite at Seattle in Week 1. That’s climbed to -2.5 with more interest in the Niners than the Seahawks and new QB Sam Darnold. This total opened 45.5 and is now 44.5 O/U.
