The 2026-27 NFL season is underway, and the NFL odds for various year-end honors are fluctuating wildly by the week!
Let's take a look at how some of the major races are developing and give out some free NFL picks.
NFL Offensive Player of the Year odds 2026-27
Jahmyr Gibbs is coming off a breakout season with the Detroit Lions, topping 1,000 rushing yards while adding more than 500 receiving yards. If the first two games of the new season are any indication, he'll blow those numbers away this year.
Gibbs erupted for 164 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns in Detroit's Week 3 win over the Jets, becoming the first player in NFL history to record at least 300 rushing yards, four rushing TDs, 150 receiving yards, and two receiving scores through his first three games of a season.
Meanwhile, Jaxon Smith-Njigba has picked up right where he left off after winning Offensive Player of the Year last season, as the Seattle Seahawks wide receiver JSN sits atop the NFL in receiving yards (405).
Kenneth Walker III is another name to watch after an impressive first three games with the Kansas City Chiefs, with the reigning Super Bowl MVP boasting a league-leading 360 rushing yards.
NFL Offensive Player of the Year pick: Jonathan Taylor
Jonathan Taylor looked set to run away with OPOY honors last year, as the Indianapolis Colts running back was the odds-on favorite through the first half of the campaign.
Despite the team’s struggles down the stretch, the Colts’ running back still finished with the second-most rushing yards in the NFL, falling just 26 short of James Cook.
Backed by a stout offensive line and a two-year, $44 million extension, Taylor remains a solid pick in a run-heavy offense.

NFL Defensive Player of the Year odds 2026-27
Myles Garrett was essentially booted from the race after a quiet Week 1 performance before ultimately landing on IR to undergo minor knee surgery. According to the latest reports, the Los Angeles Rams superstar is now expected to miss six weeks.
Will Anderson Jr. is now the name to watch after finishing second to Garrett in last year's DPOY voting. The Houston Texans edge rusher led the league in QB hurries and recorded three forced fumbles in 2025, and he now trails only Greg Rousseau in sacks.
Aidan Hutchinson has also made an early push for the award, already racking up three sacks for the Detroit Lions.
NFL Defensive Player of the Year pick: Greg Rousseau
Rousseau has been on a tear to open the season, leading the league with six sacks through three games.
With the Buffalo Bills one of only three undefeated teams in the NFL, Rousseau's odds could shorten quickly if they keep stacking wins.

NFL Comeback Player of the Year odds 2026-27
Kansas City Chiefs superstar Patrick Mahomes has looked no worse for wear since returning from a torn ACL and LCL.
Although the two-time MVP was largely conservative in Week 1, Mahomes has quickly found his rhythm. After torching Indianapolis for 382 yards and three touchdowns, he completed 20 of 24 passes for 246 yards and two scores against Miami to keep KC undefeated.
Kyler Murray returned from his Week 1 concussion as the Minnesota Vikings secured a road win over Tampa Bay, but he had little to do with the victory. The former first overall pick completed just 51.7% of his passes for 168 yards as the Vikings' elite defense carried the load.
NFL Comeback Player of the Year pick: Kyler Murray
The most intriguing challenger to Mahomes is Murray, who gets a fresh start with the Vikings after playing just five games in 2025. He’ll benefit from playing under QB whisperer Kevin O’Connell, who helped completely transform Sam Darnold during his time in Minnesota.
If O’Connell can help Murray rediscover that level of play, the former No. 1 overall pick should emerge as Mahomes’ biggest challenger.
