There are question marks around both quarterbacks that might get answered as the Houston Texans take on the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. Just how healthy is Matthew Stafford, and will C.J. Stroud bounce back after a disappointing second season in the league?

Our Texans vs. Rams predictions expect a low-scoring game. Don’t miss our NFL picks below, with the game kicking off at 4:25 p.m. ET at SoFi Stadium and available to watch on CBS.

Texans vs Rams prediction

Texans vs Rams Best bet: Under 43.5 (-115)

Two big factors come into play when considering this 43.5-point total. For the Los Angeles Rams, things look positive: Davante Adams is in town, Kyren Williams is healthy and signed to a new deal, and Matthew Stafford is fit, but just how healthy is he really?

That’s going to be put to the test as they face a Houston Texans defense that could quite comfortably be the best in the NFL.  You have the second-best edge rusher in the league in Will Anderson Jr. on one side of the line, and opposite him is Danielle Hunter, who is also an elite, potentially Top-10 defensive end.

There’s going to be a lot of pressure on Stafford, and even if he really is in great health, then they could still be in big trouble.

Then there’s the Texans. We should see C.J. Stroud rebound after his sophomore slump, but this is still a team that’s had huge changes on the offensive line and might need time to gel.

And without Joe Mixon, the running game now lies in the hands of Nick Chubb, and we don’t know if he’s going to be anywhere near the guy he was pre-injuries.

Texans vs Rams same-game parlay

We’re also going to add the Texans to win. This team has a truly elite defense and should be able to limit the Rams to a couple of scores.

To finish off the SGP, we’re backing Nico Collins to score. Collins is one of the league’s best wideouts and scored eight touchdowns last season, despite missing five games due to injury and subsequently working his way back to full health.

Texans vs Rams 3-leg SGP

  • Under 43.5
  • Texans moneyline
  • Nico Collins anytime touchdown

Our big-ticket SGP: Wideouts shine at SoFi Stadium

  • Davante Adams gives the team a real X receiver and is now L.A.'s main receiving threat in the red zone.
  • C.J. Stroud averaged 223.9 yards per game last year, but with a new OC and a healthy Collins, as well as Christian Kirk and Jayden Higgins in his WR corps, we should see him improve upon his 2024 performances.

Texans vs Rams 5-leg SGP

  • Under 43.5
  • Texans moneyline
  • Nico Collins anytime touchdown
  • Davante Adams anytime touchdown
  • C.J. Stroud Over 233.5 passing yards

Texans vs Rams odds

  • Spread: Texans +2.5 | Rams -2.5
  • Moneyline: Texans +120 | Rams -140
  • Over/Under: Over 44.5 | Under 44.5
