The San Francisco 49ers and Cleveland Browns meet on Sunday with the visiting team chasing the playoffs in the hotly contested NFC West, while the Browns are looking to see more of Shedeur Sanders before this April’s next draft.
The 49ers are the better team, but the Browns seem to be able to hang with their opposition, so we’re taking them to cover the spread on home soil.

49ers vs Browns prediction
49ers vs Browns Best bet: Browns +4.5 (-110)
Given that the San Francisco 49ers have won over double the number of games as the Browns, it isn’t surprising that they’re the favorites, but we should have confidence in the home team covering the spread here.
This Cleveland Browns defense ranks fourth in DVOA, gives up the second-fewest passing yards per game, and is in the top half of teams against the run, too. Myles Garrett and his defensive teammates are capable of slowing any offense down, and the 49ers have been inconsistent this year.
Last week, Brock Purdy threw three interceptions against the Panthers in only his second start from injury, with the Panthers being far from an elite defense. The 49ers have won three of Purdy’s four starts this season and did cover in his two games since returning, but they’ve covered the spread just twice in seven games following a win.
The Browns, largely thanks to their defense, are 4-0 ATS on their home field, and after a strong offensive performance against the Raiders, which saw them put up 24 points, we can be more confident that they’ll be better on both sides of the ball.

We’re going to back Shedeur Sanders to have Over 155.5 passing yards. The discourse around Sanders has reached a fever pitch, but there were some impressive moments last week.
He completed 11 of 20 passing attempts for 209 yards, and given that only six teams have allowed more than the Niners' average of 241.8 passing yards per game, there’s a strong chance that with an extra week of practice with the first string, he could cover what a low passing yard total is.
We’re going to finish off the SGP by taking Quinshon Judkins to score. He’s found the endzone in seven of 10 games this season and is fresh from pounding the ball into the endzone twice last week.

Firstly, we’re backing Christian McCaffrey to score. He’s scored 12 touchdowns in 12 games and is the Niners’ best offensive weapon.
We’re also going to back CMC to have Over 4.5 receptions, that’s a number that he’s hit in 11 of 12 games this season. With the Browns averaging 4.3 receptions allowed per game, we should see CMC hit the over, given he’s averaging a staggering 8.5 targets per game.
