Oregon looks to rebound at home against a Nebraska team coming off a near-upset, with the Ducks laying 6.5 and a buy-low angle driving the Week 7 card.

Saturday night in Eugene brings a pressure-packed Big Ten matchup, with Oregon laying 6.5 points against Nebraska at Autzen Stadium.

My Nebraska vs. Oregon prediction backs the Ducks in a buy-low spot, while a fast-paced matchup also creates an appealing angle on the total.

 TOP PICK
Who will win Nebraska vs Oregon: Oregon -6.5

Give me the Oregon Ducks -6.5, up to -8.5, because this is a sell-high spot for the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

Oregon has already lost twice after opening the season ranked second in the country, but those defeats came against No. 18 Oklahoma State and No. 12 UCLA.

Nebraska nearly upset reigning champion Indiana last week, but that was also the first quality opponent. Per Pro Football Focus, Nebraska has played the 89th-toughest schedule in the country, while Oregon has faced the 10th-toughest.

The Cornhuskers should also be one of Week 7's most popular underdogs, creating a good buy-low spot on Oregon. The Ducks can still make the College Football Playoff path if they win out, especially with Ohio State remaining on the schedule.

I'll back a desperate Oregon team at home.

Covers COVERS INTEL: Oregon was a 21.5-point favorite on the preseason look-ahead line. Even though Ducks starting QB Dante Moore is out with a concussion, a 15.0-point line move against one of the most talented rosters in the country outrageous.

Nebraska vs Oregon Over/Under pick: Over 51.5

As a zag on the obvious side of the total, I'm taking the Over 51.5, up to 52.5.

The Cornhuskers went Under by 11.5 points last week, while the Ducks went Under by 26 after benching their backup quarterback. However, Oregon's first four games went Over, and the Ducks play at the 13th-fastest pace nationally.

Third-string QB Brock Thomas also gave Oregon's offense a spark last week, completing 11-of-15 passes for 156 yards and a touchdown. I'm expecting Dan Lanning to push the tempo, get Thomas comfortable at home, and let Oregon do most of the scoring.

Nebraska vs Oregon combo

I’m expecting Nebraska to hang around early before Oregon’s talent and depth start to take over. If the Cornhuskers come out sharp, that can keep the Ducks aggressive instead of letting them settle into a conservative game script.

Oregon should still have enough offensive success to create separation, while Nebraska contributes enough scoring to keep the total moving. A competitive start followed by the Ducks pulling away in the second half gives all three positions a clear path to cash.
