Who will win Utah vs Colorado: Colorado +14.5
Even though the Utah Utes are much better on paper, I'm taking the Colorado Buffaloes +14.5, down to +13.5, because Utah has beaten up on soft competition and Coach Prime had a bye week to get QB Isaac Wilson more comfortable.
Colorado's 29-7 loss to No. 12 Texas Tech wasn't as one-sided as the final score indicates. The Buffaloes led at halftime and finished with more first downs and total yards but lost the turnover battle 4-0, including a disastrous pick-six in their own end zone.
I'm giving Wilson a mulligan after his first start this season, and he gets extra prep for his former team. Wilson spent the past two years at Utah, so he already knows the roster and coaching staff.
COVERS INTEL: Pro Football Focus says Utah has played the 120th-toughest schedule in the country, and Colorado has faced the ninth-toughest. 
Utah vs Colorado Over/Under pick: Under 49.5
I lean toward the Under 49.5, down to 48.5, because Colorado averages just 10.3 points against Power 4 opponents, while Utah allows only 13 points per game.
The matchup also correlates with my Colorado spread pick. Utah wants to run the ball, but the Buffaloes rank third nationally in adjusted defensive EPA per play and second in defensive EPA per rush, according to GameOnPaper.
Utah should also dictate the tempo as the better offense, and the Utes rank 100th nationally in seconds per play. Fewer possessions should help both Colorado +14.5 and the Under.
Utah vs Colorado combo
Utah can land the first punch without controlling all four quarters. If Colorado avoids the kind of high-leverage mistakes that buried it against Texas Tech, the Buffaloes should have a chance to hang around after the opening quarter.
A slower second half would also work nicely, limiting possessions and making it harder for Utah to create separation. That gives Colorado a path to cover without needing much offensive production.
