Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs will travel to Wells Fargo Center to take on Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers, and I have you covered with my best bet from this matchup using the latest NBA odds.

While Embiid and Wembanyama are two of the most entertaining big men to watch in the NBA, I'm going to have you locked in on a different player. The name of the game is to win units, and I see an edge with this player's assists prop.

Spurs vs 76ers predictions

When handicapping this matchup between the San Antonio Spurs and Philadelphia 76ers, almost everything revolves around whether we'll see Joel Embiid suit up. Based on the movements we're seeing in the market for the player props and the spread, I would say Embiid is playing tonight.

There has been a lot of chatter about whether Embiid will even be eligible to win the NBA MVP as Philly is focused on winning a title, but I think this narrative might be a bit overblown. Yes, he'll miss some games for rest, but he just came back from injury and played both sets of back-to-back games in the same week.

Tobias Harris — whose assist line is often in the 2.5 window playing alongside Embiid — is trading with an assist total of 3.5 that has heavy juice on the Over.  

In the four games Harris played with Embiid from January 15 to January 20, the Sixers PF only averaged 4.7 potential assists per game. That's a really low number when you need four assists to clear the total and the Over is trading with heavy juice (-155).

Harris' total should begin to work its way back down to the 2.5 number, but I'll gladly take the sportsbooks up on the 3.5 at plus money for the Under until they make that adjustment — especially against the Spurs.

The 76ers' guards will be doing a ton of drive and kick when they get into the lane because of Victor Wembanyama, meaning we should see a ton of corner 3-pointers from Harris. Philly will want to utilize Harris' shooting to help space the floor and draw Wembanyama out of the lane as well.

I expect we'll see Harris more in a scoring role and on the receiving end of those potential assists, which is why I like the Under on this total. He's projected to have 3.5 assists tonight, which means we can price the Under 3.5 line at -120.

I hope you weren't planning on watching Embiid or Wembanyama while taking in this game, because it will be impossible not to focus on Harris with this many bets on him.

I highlighted in the best bet why I like Harris to go Under on his assists, but the Under on his assists total doesn't mean I think Harris will have a bad game all around: it's more a play on how I think the Philadelphia's offense will attack San Antonio.

I think Harris will be on the receiving end of a ton of potential assists on Monday as a corner 3-point shooter or even as a cutting dunker. I'd be shocked if Harris isn't used to space the floor and pull Wembanyama out of the lane to open up driving lanes for Tyrese Maxey, who can then dish to Harris if need be.

You could make the argument to include the Over on Maxey's assists prop as well in this same game parlay, but I personally prefer to roll with the all-Harris version that I built because Maxey won't be the only player looking his way when they get in the lane against Wemby.

The 76ers opened as 14-point favorites over the Spurs at FanDuel and are still trading at that number. We did see this line drop down to -13.5 at FanDuel, but it was immediately bet back up to -14. 

The total opened at 238.5 at DraftKings, and we have seen it drop by 1.5 points down to 237. The total did get as low as 236.5 at DraftKings, but after touching 236.5, it was bet back up to 237, which is a consensus number in the market at the moment.
