I'm backing the Utah Mammoth to continue their impressive start against the Seattle Kraken. Utah has won seven of its first 10 games, and the underlying numbers are a testament to their consistency.
The Mammoth have controlled 61.9% of high-danger chances at even strength, compared to just 45.6% for the Kraken. Utah is also allowing only 22.4 shots per game, while Seattle is surrendering 31.
The special teams matchup is another reason to like Utah. The Mammoth are converting 36.1% of their power-play opportunities, giving them another way to exploit Seattle's defensive vulnerabilities.
With Utah creating more quality chances and limiting opponents' opportunities, I like the visitors to come away victorious.
COVERS INTEL: Utah owns a 57.1% five-on-five expected-goals share, compared to Seattle's 46.5%. That chance-quality advantage supports the Mammoth at a 62% price. 
Mammoth vs Kraken combo
Although I expect a Utah win, I also expect goals. The Mammoth are fifth in the NHL with 3.8 goals per game, while the Kraken are sixth, averaging 3.7.
They're also both giving up over three per night, and rank toward the bottom of the league in penalty kill percentage and penalty minutes. There will be no shortage of quality opportunities on both ends.
I'll round out this combo with Utah's joint leader in points, Nick Schmaltz. He's tied with Clayton Keller at 13 points, and he's cashed the Over in three of his last four.
Schmaltz has been involved in nearly everything offensively for Utah this season, posting a remarkable 76.47% individual points percentage (IPP). That means he's recorded a point on 13 of the 17 goals scored with him on the ice.

Chandler Stephenson has been an engine for the Kraken offense this season, leading the team with eight helpers. He's notched an assist in five of his last six games, and five of his helpers have been primary assists.
Seattle has created a healthy share of scoring chances and high-danger chances with Stephenson on the ice, proving his importance in a facilitating role.
For what it's worth, he also registered two helpers in three meetings with Utah last season. I like him to be busy again tonight.
Mammoth vs Kraken goal scorer: Clayton Keller
Play up to 42%.
Keller is up to four goals in 2026-27, and he's scored three of those in his last three appearances. The winger leads Utah in total shot attempts, and he's also top-five in unblocked shots and individual scoring chances.
The 28-year-old has netted three of his four goals on the road this season, and Seattle's vulnerabilities in goal play in his favor this evening, along with their inability to limit damage on the power play.
Keller will light the lamp again.
