I haven't seen a Spencer Miles opener day I haven't liked, so we're going to ride with the Under here. Miles hasn't allowed an earned run since Aug. 8, throwing up 14 consecutive zeros in each appearance since - we'll take that to the bank.
On the other side is veteran ace Jacob deGrom, who gets a struggling Toronto Blue Jays offense. The bats are cold in Toronto, scoring two or fewer runs in three of their last four games.
I'd play this to -130.
COVERS INTEL: deGrom's 31.2% K rate is one of the highest marks of his career, which says a lot about how great he's been in his 12th season. It'll get us out of some jams today.
