I haven't seen a Spencer Miles opener day I haven't liked, so we're going to ride with the Under here. Miles hasn't allowed an earned run since Aug. 8, throwing up 14 consecutive zeros in each appearance since - we'll take that to the bank.

It's been an offensive struggle in Texas for Toronto, so we're fading the offense as part of my Rangers vs. Blue Jays predictions.

The Toronto Blue Jays come into the last game of the series as +140 underdogs at BET99 and are in need of a win if they want to keep their season alive.

Blue Jays vs Rangers predictions

Blue Jays vs Rangers best bet: Under 7.5 Runs (-120)

I haven't seen a Spencer Miles opener day I haven't liked, so we're going to ride with the Under here. Miles hasn't allowed an earned run since Aug. 8, throwing up 14 consecutive zeros in each appearance since - we'll take that to the bank.

On the other side is veteran ace Jacob deGrom, who gets a struggling Toronto Blue Jays offense. The bats are cold in Toronto, scoring two or fewer runs in three of their last four games.

I'd play this to -130.

Covers COVERS INTEL: deGrom's 31.2% K rate is one of the highest marks of his career, which says a lot about how great he's been in his 12th season. It'll get us out of some jams today.

Blue Jays vs Rangers same-game parlay (SGP)

We know the Blue Jays offense has been struggling, but Alejandro Kirk has been a lone bright spot, riding a five-game hit streak and coming off another multi-hit game. He's cashed this play in three of his last five contests, and if he's hot, I'm expecting Toronto to keep it close.

Blue Jays vs Rangers SGP

  • Under 7.5 runs
  • Alejandro Kirk 2+ bases
  • Toronto Blue Jays +1.5

Blue Jays vs Rangers home run pick: Kazuma Okamoto (+500)

Kazuma Okamoto has been the main source of power for the Blue Jays this season, and is my bet to go yard against the vet deGrom.

Okamoto has put together an incredible rookie campaign with 33 homers, hitting five of them in September alone. deGrom throws his fastball 44% of the time - a pitch Kazuma has hit out of the yard 22 times this season. Let's ride with him tonight.
