The Jacksonville Jaguars and Denver Broncos meet at Mile High this Sunday, and my Jaguars vs. Broncos prediction is focused on an impressive Jags offense. I’ll be taking them on the spread for my NFL picks this Sunday.
Despite losing their opener, the Broncos are 2.5-point favorites for this Week 2 matchup.
You can tune in on Sunday, Sept. 20, with kickoff set for 4:05 p.m. ET on CBS.
TOP PICK
Jaguars vs Broncos prediction: Jaguars +2.5
The standard of opposition wasn’t the best for the Jacksonville Jaguars last time out, but their offense dominated the Browns. The good news is that Trevor Lawrence is continuing to play at the level we saw in his first year under Liam Coen in 2025. He threw four touchdown passes in that win, but this week we’ll see the running back group take more responsibility, something we saw the Chiefs rely on when beating the Denver Broncos on MNF.
That defeat was an ominous warning for new offensive coordinator Davis Webb, and he needs to change things fast. The Broncos' offense ran the fewest plays in Week 1 with 47 and had the second-lowest air yards total at just 92, in addition to the lowest aDOT at 3.3.

Jaguars vs Broncos combo
I’m so bullish on the Jaguars that in the combo, I want to include them on the moneyline and not just with the points. We saw how Kenneth Walker caused havoc for the Broncos' defense, racking up 173 yards on the ground, and Bhayshul Tuten can be encouraged by that given his tackle-breaking ability. Tuten led the Jags' backfield in the opener, outcarrying Chris Rodriguez 15 to 6 despite only having marginally more snaps, 48% to 41%. He did more with those opportunities, forcing five missed tackles.
Jaylen Waddle’s first game for the Broncos was about as bad as he could have hoped, catching just one of three targets for two yards. However, leading the Broncos with an 82% route participation rate is surely an indicator that he’ll continue to see volume, which should lead to more production.
Jaguars vs Broncos combo
- Jaguars moneyline
- Bhayshul Tuten Over 51.5 rushing yards
- Jaylen Waddle Over 50.5 receiving yards
Jaguars vs Broncos touchdown scorer: Bhayshul Tuten
I’m back at the well with Tuten here. While Rodriguez led the Jags in red-zone carries last week, it really can’t be overstated how much more dangerous Tuten looked with the ball in his hands. We might still see Rodriguez doing goal-line work, but with his speed, agility, and elite tackle-breaking skills, it’s Tuten who is more likely to find the end zone. Don’t forget that this Broncos defense gave up two touchdowns to Kenneth Walker this past Monday.
