Expert MLB moneyline picks for September 20

Phillies vs Mets: Mets

Mets win probability: 42%

Philadelphia has gone ice cold at the plate over the past two weeks, managing just an 86 wRC+ and .379 SLG. New York brings serious home value behind a shutdown bullpen that boasts a 2.95 SIERA over their past 14 days.

Royals vs Pirates: Pirates

Pirates win probability: 54%

Kansas City's lineup is completely lost right now, hitting an MLB-worst .197 with a punchless 73 wRC+ over their last twelve games. Pittsburgh's pitching staff gets an easy target here, giving the home club a straightforward path to cash.

Red Sox vs Rays: Rays

Rays win probability: 56%

Boston's bats have gone silent lately, scraping together a .203 average and .118 ISO. Tampa Bay holds all the momentum at Tropicana Field with a top-five offense (117 wRC+) and late-inning relievers who limit hard contact to a 3.61 SIERA during the past 14 days.

Athletics vs Guardians: Guardians

Guardians win probability: 65%

The Athletics sit dead last in baseball with an abysmal 68 wRC+ and .262 on-base mark over the fortnight. Cleveland dominates the late innings behind an untouchable bullpen racking up 12.26 strikeouts per nine and a microscopic 2.72 SIERA during that same time span.

Cubs vs Reds: Cubs

Cubs win probability: 56%

Chicago is crushing the baseball over the last 14 days, pairing a 120 wRC+ with an 11.1% walk rate. Cincinnati cannot stop giving away free passes, saddled with a messy 5.17 bullpen walk rate and an ugly 4.69 SIERA over the same period.

Braves vs Astros: Astros

Astros win probability: 54%

Atlanta is stuck in a brutal late-season slump, limping in with an 84 wRC+ and an empty .291 OBP. Houston matches up well at Minute Maid Park behind Hunter Brown and a high-leverage bullpen holding opposing hitters to a .210 average.

Tigers vs White Sox: Tigers

Tigers win probability: 48%

Detroit's lineup has quietly caught fire, crossing the plate 74 times over their last 14 games with a 113 wRC+. Taking the plus-money road dog is an easy call against Chicago, bolstered by Detroit's bullpen crew carrying a stingy 0.88 WHIP.

Nationals vs Cardinals: Cardinals

Cardinals win probability: 56%

Washington's offense remains lifeless at 84 wRC+, but their bullpen is the real liability. The Nationals are walking 6.60 batters per nine with a 5.46 SIERA across the past 14 days, handing St. Louis a massive advantage once the starters leave the mound.

Blue Jays vs Rangers: Blue Jays

Blue Jays win probability: 46%

Toronto's hitters are dialed in, posting the lowest strikeout rate in baseball (16.0%) and a top-three 119 wRC+ over the last fortnight. Grabbing them as road underdogs makes great sense against Texas, backed by steady relief pitching at 3.67 SIERA.

Mariners vs Rockies: Mariners

Mariners win probability: 57%

Seattle's bats are locked in, slugging .428 with a 121 wRC+ over their last dozen contests. That firepower should feast at Coors Field against a disastrous Colorado bullpen that is getting torched for a 7.48 ERA and 1.70 WHIP over their last 14 days.

Twins vs Angels: Angels

Angels win probability: 46%

Minnesota is in a complete freefall offensively, hitting .210 with an anemic 74 wRC+. Los Angeles presents sharp underdog value against a collapsing Twins bullpen that has surrendered an alarming 6.20 ERA and 1.64 WHIP down the stretch.

Yankees vs Diamondbacks: Diamondbacks

Diamondbacks win probability: 48%

Arizona looks great as a home underdog behind a lockdown bullpen dealing with a 2.39 ERA and 3.43 SIERA. New York's relief numbers are a mirage waiting to crack, with an underlying 4.72 SIERA and bloated 5.24 FIP.

Marlins vs Padres: Padres

Padres win probability: 57%

Nobody is swinging hotter bats than San Diego, leading the sport with a .500 slugging mark and 135 wRC+ over the last two weeks. That relentless run production, combined with a rock-solid 3.35 relief SIERA, easily handles Miami at home.

Giants vs Dodgers: Dodgers

Dodgers win probability: 71%

San Francisco's bullpen is a disaster waiting to happen, striking out almost nobody (13.2% K%) and generating an inflated 5.27 SIERA. Los Angeles will expose that weakness with an elite 13.6% walk rate and proven 118 wRC+ offensive punch.

Brewers vs Orioles: Brewers

Brewers win probability: 64%

Milwaukee's offense is an absolute runaway train right now, piling up 87 runs with a .374 on-base percentage over their last twelve games. With young flamethrower Jacob Misiorowski starting, they will overpower a Baltimore lineup that is striking out 30.7% of the time.
