Vancouver is running into a buzzsaw in Edmonton tonight, and we're riding with the Over as a result in our Canucks vs. Oilers predictions.
The Edmonton Oilers fit the bill as massive 77% favorites at Novig, so we're moving toward the total to build that bankroll this weekend.
Tap into my NHL picks for Saturday, Nov. 7, and let's keep profiting.
TOP PICK
Canucks vs Oilers prediction: Over 6.5
You ever spend a ton of money on fireworks? You might as well just buy a ticket to this Canucks vs. Oilers game instead. There will be goals - we've got the No. 1 offense against one of the worst defensive teams in the league.
Leevi Merilainen alone will help us get over the line; his -1.9 goals saved above expected won't cut it against an Edmonton team averaging 4.12 goals per game.
The last time these two teams met, it ended in a 9-7 win for the Oilers - I'm playing this to 60%.

Canucks vs Oilers combo
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins has been incredible in his return, notching nine points over his last six games. In a game that should feature a ton of goal-scoring opportunities, I expect him to find the scoresheet, and for Leon Draisaitl to pot one of his own.
The Over is going to cook here, too, with backup Oiler netminder Devon Levi (3.11 GAA, .887 SV%) getting the nod.
Canucks vs Oilers combo
- Ryan Nugent-Hopkins 1+ assists
- Over 6.5
- Leon Draisaitl anytime goal scorer
Canucks vs Oilers player prop: Ryan Nugent-Hopkins 1+ assist
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins has an easy matchup against a Canucks team that's allowed 4.5 goals per game over its last 10 contests, losing nine of those games.
With Nugent-Hopkins projected to skate alongside Connor McDavid and Draisaitl on Edmonton's top power-play unit, his playmaking ability and exposure to two of hockey's most dangerous scorers give him a strong chance to record an assist.
We're getting tremendous value here - don't overthink it.
Canucks vs Oilers goal scorer: Leon Draisaitl
Draisaitl has been an absolute goal-scoring machine, burying 14 goals in 17 games while averaging 3.7 shots on net. Vancouver is allowing an NHL-worst 4.61 goals per game and owns a dreadful 63.3% penalty kill, which spells trouble against Edmonton's potent power play. It doesn't help Vancouver that they take about 11 minutes of penalties per game - 22nd in hockey.
With seven of Draisaitl's goals coming on the man advantage, this matchup is tailor-made for him to find the back of the net.
- Top picks: 9-11, -1.23 units
- Combos: 6-13, +3.80 units
