The New Jersey Devils have won nine of their last 11 games and are 60% favorites to pick up another win against the New York Islanders.
Arseny Gritsyuk has been an efficient point producer during New Jersey's hot streak, and my Devils vs. Islanders prediction sees him finding the scoresheet again tonight.
Let's dive deeper into my NHL picks for Saturday, Nov. 7.
Devils vs Islanders prediction: Devils moneyline
The New Jersey Devils are playable to 61%.
New Jersey is the much deeper team and has a clear edge at 5-on-5, where it ranks in the Top 5 in both GF% and xGF% over the last four weeks.
The New York Islanders sit 21st in goal share and have lost the xG battle over the same period.
New York ranks 29th in power-play scoring efficiency this season. It's tough to bank on production against a New Jersey team that has spent the second-fewest minutes shorthanded, especially when that production is likely necessary to get a result.

Devils vs Islanders combo
New Jersey's biggest edge comes at 5-on-5, so I'm naturally looking toward its top unit — one of the best in the entire league — for production.
Arseny Gritsyuk trails only Jack Hughes on the Devils in points at 5-on-5. Most of Gritsyuk's production has come through goals, while Jesper Bratt is the most pass-happy player on the line.
Bratt also skates on the top power-play unit and is first over the boards in 4-on-4 and 3-on-3 situations.

- Jesper Bratt Over 0.5 points
TOP PICK
Devils vs Islanders player prop: Arseny Gritsyuk Over 0.5 points
Gritsyuk to record a point is in play to 52%.
The line of Gritsyuk, Hughes, and Bratt has generated 4.61 goals per 60 minutes at 5-on-5 while controlling 65.2% of the xG share. Those are elite numbers.
That has translated into plenty of production for Gritsyuk, with the sophomore winger averaging 2.82 points per 60 minutes with Hughes as his center.
New York ranks 23rd in xG suppression at 5-on-5 over the past 10 games and will struggle to slow this trio down.
Devils vs Islanders goal scorer: Arseny Gritsyuk
Gritsyuk is a target to 28%.
He's played 11 games on a line with Hughes and Bratt and has scored relentlessly during that span, finding the back of the net seven times.
He possesses a dangerous shot and regularly finds himself on the receiving end of quality scoring chances alongside such dynamic playmakers.
Ilya Sorokin is one of the league's best goaltenders. It takes strong finishing ability to beat him, and Gritsyuk is shooting better than 20%.
