Brady Tkachuk leads the Florida Panthers (70%) in shot attempts and shots on goal.
His numbers have been through the roof at home against poor defensive sides, which is why I'm backing Tkachuk to pile up the shots with my top Blackhawks vs. Panthers prediction.
Read on for full analysis of my NHL picks for Wednesday, Nov. 4.
Blackhawks vs Panthers prediction: Florida Panthers -1.5
The Florida Panthers are playable on the puck line to 52%.
After a slow start to the season, they have won five straight games against Bottom-10 defensive teams, outscoring their opponents 24-10 in aggregate.
Conversely, the Chicago Blackhawks have gotten walked over by teams with Top-10 offenses or defenses, if not both. They have won just one of eight such matchups, losing 35-14 in aggregate.
They scored more than two goals only once, and six of the seven losses came by multiple.
These two teams sit at opposite ends of the spectrum in 5-on-5 shot share. Chicago is also undisciplined, and Florida’s power play leads the league in xG generation.

Blackhawks vs Panthers combo
The Panthers rank third in shot share across all situations, while the Blackhawks rank 29th. Florida should walk all over Chicago, and it has the high-end talent to turn that edge in opportunities into results.
Seth Jones assisted in seven of his last eight games against teams ranking in the bottom 10 in shots allowed, goals allowed, or both.
Meanwhile, Brady Tkachuk has generated at least six shots on goal in all three home games vs. Bottom-10 shot suppression teams.
Blackhawks vs Panthers combo
- Panthers -1.5
- Seth Jones Over 0.5 assists
- Brady Tkachuk Over 3.5 shots
TOP PICK
Blackhawks vs Panthers player prop: Brady Tkachuk Over 3.5 shots
I’m backing Brady Tkachuk to go Over 3.5 shots and see value to 54%.
Tkachuk leads the Panthers in 5-on-5 shot generation and has averaged 11.17 shots/60 playing on a line with his brother. He also sits second on the team in power-play shots.
The Blackhawks are a great matchup on both counts, sitting 30th in 5-on-5 shot suppression and 28th in shorthanded time on ice over the last 10 games.
Brady has faced seven Bottom-10 shot suppression teams. He cleared 3.5 shots in five of them, including all three on home soil.
Blackhawks vs Panthers goal scorer: Brady Tkachuk
Tkachuk is my top target to score, and I’d back him to 46%.
He leads the Panthers in shot attempts and shots on target, and he's scored eight times over 10 games with Matthew on his line.
The matchup is terrific, with the Blackhawks sitting 30th in expected goals allowed and shot suppression.
Chicago also ranks 28th in team save percentage, so it isn't getting goaltending that lets it compensate for its defensive struggles.
