Despite interest from teams, New York seems content with keeping its star receiver around.

Garrett Wilson has been one of the most misused wide receivers in the NFL over the years, with the New York Jets continuously pairing him with mediocre quarterbacks.

Despite plenty of teams in need of his skill set, Garrett Wilson next team odds point to the young pass catcher staying put come the trade deadline on Tuesday, Nov. 10.

Why are the Jets trading Garrett Wilson?

According to Adam Schefter, they aren't!

Reports of contending teams in desperate need of a WR1 being interested in players like Garrett Wilson always pop up this time of year, but that doesn't mean a damm thing if said player isn't available.

The Ohio State product is only 26, and he's locked in until the 2030 season. The New York Jets have an extremely young offense and are in line to be the first team to ever have three Top 10 picks in next year's draft.

New York will likely take a quarterback with one of its picks, potentially giving Wilson a competent field general throwing his way.

Garrett Wilson next team odds analysis

Jets Jets | 'Yes' 89¢

Teams may be calling about the star receiver's availability, but all signs point to him staying put for at least another year. With both the Jets and Colts sliding down the standings and the Cowboys being the Cowboys, N.Y. is set to be rich with assets.

The development of said assets could eventually cause Wilson to ask for a trade away from Gang Green, but as of now, it won't be before 4 p.m. ET on Nov. 10.

49ers 49ers | 'Yes' 10¢

The San Francisco 49ers championship window can only stay open for so long, and injuries continue to bombard their receiving corps.

Wilson would make an immediate impact in a Kyle Shanahan-led offense and would help ease the load on San Francisco's aging players like CMC, George Kittle, and Mike Evans.

The shoe fits, but it isn't for sale.

Kansas City Chiefs Chiefs | 'Yes' 5¢

Rashee Rice can't stay on the field, Travis Kelce is decaying in front of us, and the only consistent thing about Xavier Worthy is that he's consistently ass.

Wilson would instantly become the best receiver Patrick Mahomes has had since Tyreek Hill moved to Miami, and it would give the Kansas City Chiefs' air attack a huge boost.

Despite having assets to make the move, all signs point to the Chiefs looking elsewhere for another weapon.

Garrett Wilson next team odds prediction

Jets Jets

No, it's not the boldest prediction, but it makes the most sense. Where there's smoke, there's fire, and the Jets had a watering hose on hand to extinguish any embers in the rumor mill ahead of the trade deadline.

Note that Kalshi has only seen about $24k in volume on this market, which is why the numbers are so wonky. As long as New York stands strong on its stance, it's hard to see this market seeing a ton of action leading up to Nov. 10.

Strategic considerations for traders

  • Analysis: While there are teams interested, New York has made it clear it isn't
  • Analysis: Despite showing frustrations with the offense, Wilson has not publicly requested a trade
  • Analysis: 49ers and Chiefs may look elsewhere ahead of deadline
