The math is pretty simple: the Cleveland Browns have four quarterbacks on the roster, and someone is bound to be the odd man out.
The question is, which quarterback brings the most value on the trade market? Let's dive into the Shedeur Sanders next team odds and identify which landing spot makes the most sense.
- The Browns are an overwhelming favorite to keep Shedeur Sanders
- The Eagles are a darkhorse with Jalen Hurts sidelined for the season
- You might as well buy a lottery ticket before investing in the Colts

Why are the Browns trading Shedeur Sanders?
The Cleveland Browns aren't necessarily trading Shedeur Sanders, but they do have a quarterback problem.
With four signal-callers on the roster and Deshaun Watson holding down the starting job, Cleveland has some difficult decisions to make ahead of the trade deadline. Sanders is the most intriguing trade chip of the bunch, offering another franchise a young quarterback with starting experience while giving the Browns an opportunity to recoup draft capital or bolster their offensive line.
Whether Cleveland is willing to pull the trigger is another story, as they seem destined to keep him as their backup.
"Shedeur's our backup quarterback," Browns head coach Todd Monken said. "I know we have four of them. We can choose one of the four to be that. I know who the first two are."
I'm on the right side of this - give the kid a shot somewhere else, and use Sanders as a chip to bolster your 2027 draft or offensive line, with Watson being the most-sacked quarterback in the NFL (33).
Shedeur Sanders next team odds analysis
Philadelphia Eagles | 'Yes' 7¢
We all know why the Philadelphia Eagles are the second favorite team to bring on Shedeur - Jalen Hurts is lost for the season, and Tanner McKee clearly isn't the answer at quarterback. However, in what seems to be a lost season - the Eagles are 2-6 and in last place in the NFC East - will they cough up the draft capital needed to bring in Shedeur? It wouldn't take much, but would it be worth it?
My answer is no - especially since we don't have complete clarity on Hurts' status moving forward. The Eagles did have ties to Sanders during the 2025 NFL Draft, but the juice might not be worth the squeeze for Howie Roseman, especially since the team just signed Joe Milton.
I'll take a small position in this investment if this price gets to, or lower than, four cents.
Indianapolis Colts | 'Yes' 5¢
There's a reason why this trade is trading at just five cents - it's a complete lottery ticket.
The Indianapolis Colts are an absolute mess right now, and their quarterback situation isn't helping matters. Daniel Jones has been a disaster after signing his $88-million extension - throwing just five touchdowns against nine interceptions through eight games - and got benched in Sunday's blowout loss to Jacksonville.
Anthony Richardson hasn't exactly inspired confidence either, and with the Colts searching for answers under center, why not take a chance on Sanders? The 24-year-old has already shown flashes of potential in Cleveland, and a change of scenery could be exactly what he needs to get his career back on track. Indianapolis has little to lose by exploring a deal, especially if the price is right.
It's worth noting here that the connection between Sanders and the Colts is purely speculative, which is why this is trading at 1%.
Shedeur Sanders next team odds prediction
Cleveland Browns
For all the trade speculation surrounding the Browns' fifth-round pick in 2025, Cleveland might have no interest in moving him whatsoever. Despite carrying four quarterbacks on the roster, Sanders remains QB2 behind Watson, and reports suggest Cleveland isn't actively shopping the 24-year-old.
And why would they? Watson is playing well, but his future beyond this season remains uncertain. Sanders is still developing, has seven NFL starts under his belt, and could eventually compete for the starting job as early as next season. Unless another team comes calling with an offer Cleveland simply can't refuse, keeping Sanders around makes plenty of sense.
If you're dead-set on investing in this market, the Browns are the favorite for a reason. Don't play this any higher than 80 cents.
Strategic considerations for traders
- Analysis: There is zero indication the Browns truely want to move on from Sanders, keep your investments safe with the Browns if you want to play this market
- Analysis: Next team up is Philly; Howie Roseman has a history of making splash moves, and with Hurts' timeline unclear, a handful of shares here wouldn't hurt the bankroll
- Analysis: Stay away from the Colts - it's a straight lotto ticket. Jones is fresh off signing an extension; I highly doubt they go shopping as a result
